PHS Wrestling Team Tournament Results

MITThe Perry High School wrestling team competed at the Beast of the East Tournament (Dec. 19-21) in Newark, Delaware finishing 3rd overall with 136 total points. This tournament is ranked 2nd in the nation for the outstanding competition.  The Panthers had five placers for the weekend. Individual placers were Jake Newhouse 2nd, Jose Rodriguez 4th, Matt Carrick 4th, Zac McCualley 5th and Austin Phillips 7th.  Next, the wrestling team finished in 2nd place with 192 points at the Medina Invitational tournament held December 28-29 at Medina High School in Ohio.  Making the finals for the panthers were Zac McCaulley, Jose Rodriguez, Nick Steed and Austin Phillips. Champions were Jose Rodriguez and Nick Steed with two exciting action packed matches.  Rodriguez not only pinned his opponent in his finals match, but was also named MIT outstanding wrestler of the tournament!  Other placers were Jason Spencer 6th, Emil Soehenlen 3rd, Brady Durieux 4th, and Matt Carrick 7th place.

Midnight Madness Set for November 14th

Screen Shot 2014-11-07 at 2.33.59 PMThe First Annual Midnight Madness, is set to kick off the 2014-2015 Basketball Season on Friday, November 14, 2014 in the main gym of PHS.  Doors Open at 7:30 PM.  Canned Food Donations are being accepted for Perry Helping Perry.  Please join us at Perry High School for this community event as Perry’s Varsity Coach, Mark Randulic, unveils his Boys’ Basketball Teams (7th–Varsity).  Youth League Teams will be introduced, games, contests, raffles, trivia, prizes, concessions, and more.  There is a chance to win – Honorary Ball Boy/Girl and Team Captain (Must be present to win all prizes).  Click here to download the flyer.

Perry Men’s Golf Outing a Success Thanks to Perry Community

golf-ball-on-teeThank you to the Perry Community!  PHS Men’s Golf Booster Club had a successful outing on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Tam O’Shanter’s  Hills golf course.  159 golfers, including coaches and PHS alumni golfers, several sponsors and 13 volunteers showed support to our young men while enjoying a beautiful day of golf, fellowship and a steak dinner provided by Falcone’s.   Your generous support is greatly appreciated and we encourage (more…)
