Perry Football Boosters Quarter Auction – Saturday, July 22nd

The Perry Football Boosters will hold a quarter auction on Saturday, July 22nd from 6 PM to 10 PM at Santagelo’s Pary Center (map). Doors open at 5:00 PM. Perry Football Car Wash & BW3 Night Out

Perry FootballThe Perry High School football team will be hosting two events to help raise funds for the upcoming 2017 season.  A car wash will be held on Saturday, June 17th and Saturday, July 15th at 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM each day. The team will wash cars at $5 per car at two locations, Family Video at the corner of Genoa and Lincoln Way, and Busy Beaver on Whipple, each day.

The team’s second event will be Wednesday, June 21st from 4 PM to 9 PM at BW3s in Massillon. Stop in and show this fund-raising ticket for the team to receive 20% of all pre-taxed food sales.

Varsity Athletic Results

  • Boys Track – Christopher Marx finished 4th in the seated 800m (2:45.98), 5th in the seated 400m (1:18.92), and 4th in the seated 100m (19.61) at the State Track Championship to earn All-Ohio status in all three events
  • Girls Track – The 4×100 meter relay team of Morgan Fisher, Peyton Clark, Taylor Anthony, and Laila Strickland finished 8th overall in a new school record of 48.31 to earn All-Ohio status

May 29th Panther Scoreboard

Perry finished 3rd in the Federal League All-Sports Trophy standing this school year with 89.5 points.  The Panthers won Federal League Championships in Boys Cross Country, Football, Wrestling, and Softball outright and also split titles in both Boys and Girls Bowling.

Jackson was the overall winner with 126.5 points and Hoover was 2nd with 99.  Perry just edged GlenOak who was 4th at 89 points.  Green, Lake, and McKinley rounded out the standings at 80.5, 63.5, and 54 respectively.

  • Girls Track – 17th out of 38 teams who scored at the Regional Championship, 4×100 meter relay team of Morgan Fisher, Peyton Clark, Taylor Anthony, and Laila Strickland qualified to the state meet by finishing in the top 4, other regional placers were: Megan Fry – 5th in discus, Macee Erickson – 6th in pole vault, Laila Strickland – 6th in the 100m dash, Overall Record 5-1, League Record 5-1
