Perry Football Beats Tri Valley 40-14

Last Friday night, the Panther football team traveled to Dover Crater Stadium to take on the Dresden Tri Valley Scotties in Round 2 of the OHSAA Playoffs.  The Panthers came away with a 40-14 playoff victory. Once again, senior standout running back and candidate for Mr. Football, Keishaun Sims, had a great game running the football.  Sims rushed 31 times for 349 yards and four touchdowns. The offensive line of Adam Gregoire, Matt Carrick, Evan Douglass, Mason Wheeler, Dom Labriola, and tight end Connor Watson controlled the line of scrimmage all night by opening up holes for Sims and Tevion Cleveland as the team rushed for 485 total yards.  Perry did not throw a pass for the entire game. Tevion Cleveland and Karson Vinas also scored touchdowns. Defensively, the hard-hitting Panther defense was stout in holding Tri Valley to many three and outs all night.

During this playoff run, the Panthers have outscored their competition 75-14.  Round three of the OHSAA playoffs will be held Friday, November 20th at Mount Vernon Yellow Jacket Stadium.  The team will play the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves for the Regional Championship.  The game will kick-off at 7:30.  Tickets are available in the Athletic Ticket Office.
