April 23rd Weekly Athletic Report

The results from this past week are listed below for all Perry Athletic teams.  The Girls Varsity Track team won the Stark County Championship hosted here at Perry.  The boys team finished 3rd.  Jake Flounders pitched a one-hit shutout against Central for the baseball team and Abbey Cameron pitched a shutout for the softball team against Portsmouth Notre Dame.  The JV Softball team ran their record to 13-0 with 3 more lopsided wins.  The middle school track teams both beat Lake and Jackson with Lucas Kelly setting a new record in the pole vault with 11’1″.

2012 Football Season Tickets Info

We are once again gearing up for what is hoped to be an exciting 2012 football season. Sales will begin on Monday April 16, 2012 and go through Friday, May 18, 2012. Pick-up will be June 4-15, 2012.

The cost is $42.00 per set (6 homes games). By ordering season tickets, you are guaranteed your reserved seat(s) for the entire season. At the time of pick-up, you will receive all of your tickets plus a season ticket holder membership card. You will be able to keep your reserved seat assignment(s) from year-to-year, provided you purchase season tickets each year.

Season ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets for away and post season games by showing their season ticket holder membership card starting on Tuesday morning the week of the game.  General public will start purchasing on Wednesday of the same week.

  • Girls Bowling – 12th Place at State Tournament, Overall Record 14-3, League Record 10-2, State Qualifiers
  • Wrestling – 2nd Place at State Tournament, 4 Individual State Champions – David Bavery, Mitch Newhouse, Zach Dailey, and JoJo Tayse – Isaac Bast and Josh Arrendale both finished in 7th place, Overall Record 10-1, League Record 6-0, Federal League/Sectional/District Champions/State Runner-Up

Perry Wrestlers Break School Record with 4 State Champions

Congratulation to the Perry wrestling team for setting a new school record by having four state champions! David Bavery, Mitch Newhouse, Zack Dailey, and Jo Jo Tayse had an outstanding performance and each was able to bring home a state championship medal! Isaac Bast and Josh Arrendale also had great performances by each placing 7th in the state. The team performance earned another state runner-up trophy for Perry High School.
