One2One Computer Initiative
The focus of the One2One program in the Perry Local Schools is to provide tools and resources for the 21st century learner. Excellence in education requires that technology be seamlessly integrated throughout the educational curricula. Increased access to technology is essential to build upon college and career readiness skills. The individual use of computers in the classroom is a way to create a personalized learning environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking for all learners.
Each student in grades 5-12 will be issued a computer at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year at no cost to the students/parents, unless parents choose to purchase optional insurance.
Before students will be issued a device they must have 3 things completed.
- Complete the technology forms located in Final Forms.
- Student/Parent Laptop/Chromebook Policy & Acceptance Receipt
- Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement
- Pay at least 50% of any outstanding computer damage fees.
The average damage cost to computers is $50.00 or more. To avoid costly accidental damage cost parents may choose to purchase insurance through The Worth Group at https://www.worthavegroup.com/gpo/perrylocal.
All computer pick-up times for the 2019-20 school year will happen during the school day. Each school will announce the days and times.
