The Mayor’s Cup Girls Basketball Consolation Final and Championship Final will be held at Perry High School Saturday December 16th at 1:00pm and 2:30pm respectively. The Perry girls will be playing against Massillon in the championship game.
Perry High School had three varsity athletes sign National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Macy Byrd signed with Tiffin University to play basketball. Jayla Saibene signed with The Ohio State University for softball. Shelby Tilton signed with Kent State Unviersity for softball as well.
Congratulations to Macy, Jayla, and Shelby as they continue to make Perry Proud!
Perry High School Junior Zack “Attack” Dailey is the 140 pound Ohio State Wrestling Champion. Zack was also recently announced as the Repository athlete of the week. His key to success, “hard work”. Whether it is the off-season, pre-season, regular season or the post-season, Zack attributes hard work with success. As for winning the State Championship, Zack stated it was “pretty awesome. I pinned two, won by three and then tech falled for the state championship.” (more…)

Perry Swimming had a strong showing at the district meet at Cleveland State this past weekend. Kyle Riordan advanced on to the state meet this weekend at C. T. Branin Natatorium in Canton by taking second in both the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle. Personal best times were set by all swimmers including Alex Hamit and Emily Marino, a new school record was set for the boys 400 yard freestyle relay with Tyler Lunsford, Grant Gillilan, Matt Thiessen and Kyle Riordan with a time of 3:19.40.
