Valentines for Veterans

During the month of January, the PHS Key Club will be making Valentines to send to veterans and enlisted men and women.
If you know a veteran or enlisted man or woman, please email vanweye@perrylocal.org with their name, full address and branch of service. Key Club members will be happy to send them a handmade Valentine!
Donations of postage stamps, stickers, paper, markers and envelopes may be sent to: Emily VanWey ~ Perry High School ~ 3737 13th Street SW ~ Massillon, OH 44646.

PHS Physics Participating in NASA Program

Perry’s Physics classes will be studying aerodynamics and airplane wing design this year thanks to NASA. Through a program sponsored by NASA Glenn Research Center, Nate Van Wey’s physics classes received $700 worth of equipment to study, design, and build wings and gliders as part of a physics curriculum which focuses on aerodynamics. NASA Glenn is an international leader in airplane wing design and testing. Nate’s participation in a NASA summer program made his classes eligible to apply for a grant to receive these teaching tools.

PHS Physics to Study Energy Vampires

IMAGEFirstEnergy Corporation has chosen Perry High School’s Physics classes to receive a grant. The Mathematics, Science, and Technology Education grant was awarded to Nate Van Wey’s classes to study electric energy waste. (more…)

Perry Speech CVCA Tournament

Congratulations to the Perry Forensics Speech Team which took second place honors at last weekend’s CVCA tournament even though many of our teammates were absent from competition!  Way to go team! (more…)

King of the Mountain

The Perry wrestling team had an outstanding weekend in Pennsylvania! Our panthers competed at the King of the Mountain Wrestling tournament and finished in 2nd place out of 36 teams. Bruno Millin, Shane Foster, and Anthony Wise placed 3rd, Zak Dailey 4th, Brandon Clemens and Doug Mayes 5th, and Nick Hannan finished in 6th place. Congratulations to our state ranked wrestling team!!

Perry Wrestling Team 1st at Malvern Tournament

This past weekend, the Perry Panther wrestling team took 1st at the Malvern Wrestling Tournament.  Taking 1st for the Panthers were Andre Williams, Zack Daily and Brandon Williams.  Taking 3rd place was Steve Nolan, Mitchell Briggs and Tony Rohr.  Taking 4th place was Brody Price.  Keep up the good work guys. 

Dylan Kelsey has starring role in Amahl and the Night Visitors

This year, Pfeiffer 7th grader, Dylan Kelsey, played the role of Amahl in the Canton Symphony’s opera “Amahl and the Night Visitors.”  Last year he was an understudy.  Perry 4th graders were lucky to attend the final performance on December 9th.
