PHS Honors & Cum Laude Informational Meeting – Tuesday, April 12th

Perry High School Principal Jason Conrad will be holding an informational meeting to discuss the new honors and cum laude system to be implemented beginning in the 2016-2017 school year. Parents of any grade level student who will be attending PHS in the 2016-2017 school year are encouraged to attend for conversation and questions regarding this new program. The meeting will be held at Perry High School on Tuesday, April 12th at 7:00 PM.

Perry Bullpen to Welcome Coach Rembielak

PerryPanthers.BullpenThe Perry Bullpen Booster Club will welcome Coach Rembielak at the first meeting of the year. The Bullpen Club’s meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 9th at 7:00 PM in AV200 at Perry High School.

PHS Homecoming Dance Information

Screen Shot 2014-09-18 at 9.17.10 AMThe Perry High School homecoming dance will be Saturday, September 27 from 8-11pm in the main gym.  The theme is “Lucky in Love”.  Tickets are on sale Tuesday, September 23 to Friday, September 26 in the cafeteria before school only.  No tickets will be sold at the door.   Tickets are $10 each.  Out of School Dance contracts are required for all non-Perry students and can be downloaded by clicking here or by going to the Perry App and downloading it.  This is  a formal event: No tennis shoes or costumes. Appropriate attire is required.

Speech Team Takes Top Honors at Central

Congratulations to the Perry Speech Team on taking top honors at the Canton Central Catholic Varsity Speech tournament on Saturday, January 5.  Champions and their categories are:  Lexi Klaiber – Humor, Shane Stockall – International Extemp, and Bobby Craig – Original Oratory.  Also receiving individual honors were:  Mikayla Frutschy, Allison Bailey, Michael Barth, Anna Huntsman, Calvin Criss, Brittany Howiler, Krista Marsh, Nicole LaDow, Dani Clay, Abby Rapp, Chelsey Ferris, Tessa Polen, Taylor Baker, Hayden Smith, Katey Krepp, Hannah Petitti, and Kate Lane.

Speech and Debate Teams Take Wadsworth Tournament

Congratulations to the Perry Speech and Debate Team, who once again took first place honors at the Wadsworth Tournament this past weekend! In Policy Debate, it was Jaret Hughes and Kristel Doong taking 5th, Alex Mohney and Mitchell Yerian taking 4th and rounding off Policy with 2nd place honors was Alexis Hendershot and Shannon Howley. In Duo Interpretation, the team of Morgan Ferrell and Aaron Brown took 6th place. In Humorous Interpretation, Lexy Klaiber took 4th and Anna Hunstman took 2nd place honors. In International Extemp, Shane Stockall was the tournament Champion. In United States Extemp, taking 6th place was Hayden Smith. In Lincoln Douglas Debate, Dominick Batchi took 4th place. In Original Oratory Bobby Craig took 2nd  place and Morgan Craig was the tournament champion. In prose and poetry, Tessa Polen took 6th place honors. Rounding off the tournament in Student Congress, in chamber A, Mike Audi took 4thplace, in chamber B, Calvin Curtain took 2nd place and in chamber C, Zach James was the tournament champion. Congratulations to Perry and good luck at Copley and Glenbrooks this weekend!
