Three of Perry’s finest receive honors!

Jake Barth & Gunnar McCollins  were selected by county coaches as members of the 2016 All Stark County  Boys Golf First Team.

Gunnar McCollins, a sophomore, was named Stark County Player of the Year. He earned All-Ohio honors in his first state tournament appearance last fall. He finished tied for ninth.

Perry boys coach Dan Pierce was named  County Coach of the Year.

Panthers top Lake 151-169

The Perry Boy’s golf team won their Federal League match against Lake Tuesday night with a 151-169 score. The Panthers were led by Gunnar McCollins with a 3 under par 33. Also scoring for Perry were Jake Barth and Ryan Leininger with 38 and 39 respectively. Cory Gruber rounded out the scoring with a 41 to give the Panthers the victory.


The Panthers are now 7-4 in the Federal League and face the Green Bulldogs on Thursday to finish their season.     img_8934

Senior night was celebrated at Tuesday’s last home match of the season honoring varsity players Jake Barth and Danny Gardner.

Start County Boys Golf Championship

The Stark County Boys Golf Championship match was held at Sable Creek Golf Course on Saturday, September 24th. Our Perry Panthers  tied Glen Oak for 3rd with 323. Lake won with 313 and Jackson took second place shooting  316. Sophomore Gunnar McCollins medaled with 74. Way to go Panthers!


JV Team – Federal League Victory

Congratulations to Coach Whitaker and the Perry Junior Varsity Golf team in breaking the streak with the first JV Federal League victory in 4 years. The team beat North Canton Hoover 186-194. Sophomore Ben Turner led the team with a low score of 42. Way to go!
