Corners
1.Place signs for major concepts or categories in the four corners
of the room.

2.Give the class an example of something in one
category.

3.Students move to the corner of the room that is the
correct answer.

For example: 4 categories are solid, liquid, gas and plasma
Statement given to class: has its own shape

Options:

A. Number all the students a 1, 2, 3 or 4. Give the class
the statement and then select one number to move to
the correct corner. This helps reduce congestion in
the classroom.
B. Provide the students with placements with the categories in
the corners. Have them place a small marker (eraser,
penny, etc. in the correct corner on the placemat.
