Round the Clock Learning Partners is a strategy designed to have predetermined small groups of 2 or 3 students for any activity throughout a lesson.
Students initially need to set the appointments. Each student moves around the room locating groups of students (in 3’s for 3 and 9 o’clock and 4’s for 12 and 6 o’clock) they would like to make an appointment with. Both students must have the same time slot available and then they sign each others sheet. For instance, if Wanda, Terry and Tom are going to be 3:00 partners, Tom needs to have Terry and Wanda on his appointment sheet, Wanda needs to have Terry and Tom, and Terry must have Wanda and Tom. When the teacher says to get with your 3:00 appointments, then Tom, Wanda, and Terry are already to get in a group.
