Edison Middle School will be hosting a Girls on the Run program this coming spring. Girls on the Run is a program that aims to inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which include dynamic discussions, activities, and running games. Over the course of the 10-week program, girls in 3rd through 8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The Perry High School Swim and Dive team will be hosting a fundraiser at Game Time for the family of Angelyna Callahan on Tuesday, February 14th from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Game Time will donate 10% of the proceeds to the Callahan family. Click here for an event flyer.

We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Karen Martin has been selected as this year’s recipient of The University of Akron School of Music Distinguished Music Educator Alumni Award. Congratulations to 8th-grade band members Kaitlyn Russell, Daniel Shamp, and Ashley Cosgrave for being selected to perform in The Ohio State Honor Band Festival to be held on Saturday, February 25 at The Ohio State University, Mershon Auditorium.The students were selected from over 900 nominations across three states state and are being recognized for their hard work and dedication in our Edison Bands.
