The focus of the One2One program in the Perry Local Schools is to provide tools and resources for the 21st century learner.  Excellence in education requires that technology be seamlessly integrated throughout the educational curricula.  Increased access to technology is essential to build upon college and career readiness skills. The individual use of computers in the classroom is a way to create a personalized learning environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking for all learners.

Each student in grades 5-12 will be issued a computer at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year at no cost to the students/parents, unless parents choose to purchase optional insurance.  (more…)

Power of the Pen

IMG_4718Congratulations to Anna Condo and Abbie Friedrichsen who qualified to compete at the Power of the Pen State Tournament at Wooster College on May 24th. In order to make it to this level of competition, students had to place in the top 20% of writers at the Regional Tournament. Anna and Abbie wrote and scored impressively in their respective writing rounds. Abbie ended up breaking to the final power round, placing in the top 10% of writers in the state! Outstanding job to both!

Transportation for 2019-2020

Please leave a detailed message including: student’s name(s), school, daycare or address change, contact number, and if this is for A.M. or P.M. busing or both.

FREE SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM

summermealsThroughout the summer months, Perry Local School District will be serving FREE BREAKFAST and LUNCH to ANY student/Child who is 18 years of age and under (children with developmental disabilities and approved individualized education programs may participate through 21 years of age). No Paperwork, No Enrollment, Just Come and Join Us! Perry Physical Day Information

Perry Pride 200Aultman Hospital will be offering Grades K-12 a complete physical that meets the requirements for participating in athletic sports and is good for one calendar year. If you plan to participate in a sport next year, we encourage you to take advantage of this offer! Aultman will provide physicians, residents, and nurses who will come to Perry High School on Friday, May 31 st , starting at 1:45 PM. The $10.00 fee is not due until Physical Day.  Click here for all the information.

Perry Students Participate in Panorama Survey

Perry Pride 200Perry Local School District participated in the Panorama Student Survey from Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 10. This survey took place at all buildings and reached students in grades 3-12. The Panorama survey is designed to support student success by providing data that can monitor the social and emotional well-being of the district, school buildings and students. This information will be used to set culture goals at the district and building levels, tailor lessons on social and emotional health and monitor the growth of students. Through the generous donation made by David and Dr. Alise Bartley, the costs for the survey for the 2019-2020 school year has been covered. The couple is highly invested in the community and pleased to support student well-being. (more…)

Akron Children’s Hospital Art Collection

Akron Children artCongratulations to the following Edison students who had artwork selected by Akron Children’s Hospital as part of the community collection which began back in 1993 and now has over 3,200 pieces.  Their artwork will be displayed at one of The Art Children’s locations with a small excerpt about them and how they developed their artwork.
