Edison Student Artwork Available for Pick Up

Thanks to all who supported our first ever Artome Art Show.  Student artwork has arrived back to the school and can be picked up by students in the main office by 3:00 PM on Friday, June 5th.  Any 7th grade students returning to Edison in the fall as 8th graders are also welcome to get their artwork then.  Thank you!

Edison Students Win Poetry Contest

imageCongratulations to  Ellis McGee and Jacob Messman for being  selected as winners of the Stark County District Library’s Annual Youth Poetry Contest.  Winners were invited to attend the Youth Poetry Café to pick up prizes, a copy of the poetry book, and participate in an open mic night poetry reading. Way to go!

Panther Girls Basketball Camp

Main Logo PThe Panther Girls Basketball Camp will be held in the main gym of Perry High School from June 8-10 for girls entering grades 3-12 in the fall.  Campers will receive a t-shirt and basketball.  Ball handling, passing, footwork and much more will be covered during this skills camp.  Sign up today by clicking here.

Grade 7 & 8 Girls Basketball Summer Schedule

bkbAny Perry girl who will be entering 7th or 8th grade in the fall of 2015, and interested in playing basketball, is encouraged to participate in the summer activities. Summer league play will be held each Tuesday in June. Open gyms will take place each Thursday in June from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the PHS auxiliary gym. Panther Boys Basketball Camp

1969bJune 15th, 16th and 17th will be the Perry Boys Basketball Camp for students entering grades 2-8 this fall.  Use this form to register for the skills camp that will be led by the varsity coaching staff and members of the high school basketball team.  This camp will teach drills and techniques that will help each player improve their basketball game.  Each camper will receive a t-shirt.  Register today!

Edison Innovators Place in Rube Goldberg Challenge

Rube Goldberg Pic.2015Edison Innovators were at it again! This year the robotics team, comprised of both 7th and 8th graders, entered Goodyear’s 2015 Rube Goldberg Challenge®!  The challenge was for students to design a creative device to fill an inflatable toy Goodyear blimp with at least twelve intermediate steps between start and finish.  The winners were announced during STEM Career Day on April 18, 2015. Edison Innovators were awarded third place out of fourteen teams in the middle school category. They are the recipients of $500 and six Amazon Kindle Fire (8GB) with a 6″ HD display with wi-fi.
