The focus of the One2One program in the Perry Local Schools is to provide tools and resources for the 21st century learner.  Excellence in education requires that technology be seamlessly integrated throughout the educational curricula.  Increased access to technology is essential to build upon college and career readiness skills. The individual use of computers in the classroom is a way to create a personalized learning environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking for all learners.

Each student in grades 5-12 will be issued a computer at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year at no cost to the students/parents, unless parents choose to purchase optional insurance.  (more…)

FINALFORMS Required for 2019-2020 School Year

download-2ALL FORMS SHOULD BE COMPLETED BY AUGUST 20, 2019

New Parent Accounts for the 2019-2020 School Year:
What is FinalForms: FinalForms is an online forms and data management service that replaces paper forms. FinalForms allows you to electronically complete and sign back-to-school and athletic participation forms for your student. The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves your data from season-to-season and year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms also pre-populates information wherever possible, for each of your students, saving you time. You may review your data at any time during the school year to verify it is current. You will only be required to sign your forms once per year and after any update.
First Step: You will receive a FinalForms email during the week of July 15th. Once the email is received, click “confirm your account” in the email text and follow the instructions. Please review the guidance provided for parent registration and registering a student by clicking the following link: Parent Registration Information

Edison’s Rube Goldberg Team Takes 1st Place

Rube Goldberg TeamA huge congratulations goes out to this year’s Rube Goldberg team for taking 1st place in the Rube Goldberg Competition! The team competed at the Goodyear STEM day at Firestone High School. The team worked all year on their board game based Rube Goldberg machine. The machine, started by a phone call, included tires rolling down a track, dominoes falling off the desks that started a perfection game, a balloon inflated by baking soda and vinegar, and a solar powered laser reflected by mirrors. All these processes were used to light up a Goodyear blimp decal! The team won $2,500 for Mrs. Laskey’s Gateway classes and will take a trip to Goodyear to tour the facility! Great job to the following team members: Olivia Abraham, Libby Adams, Anthony Bartolone, Grace Brown, Dakota Dunaway, Abigail Findley, Kara Hill, Dominick Jenkins, Emma Knutty, Marcus Miller, Haeli Miller, Anthony Newsome, and Taylor Stanford. 7th graders stay tuned to find out how you can be part of this amazing team next year! Tryouts coming soon!  Check out the video here!
