March 23rd is Hat Day, for $1 you can wear your hat ALL DAY LONG! This is a friendly competition between schools in our district to see which school can raise the most money. All money raised is split three ways: the school that raises the most money will get to choose a non-profit organization where a third of the money will be sent, a third goes to Business Professionals of America (BPA–Co-sponsors this event) and another third goes to Perry Athletic Hall of Fame (Co-sponsors of this event). Show your support by wearing your favorite hat on March 23rd!
Due to an instituted change by Perry’s banking partner, effective immediately all checks for school activities, clubs, etc should be made out to Perry Local Schools. The memo line can be used to distinguish the specific activity, club, etc for which the check was written for.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
A huge congratulations go out to the members of the Edison Power of the Pen team who traveled to Mt. Union on Saturday, February 24, 2018, to compete in the Write It! Competition. Perry Parents and Community Members:
It was brought to our attention this morning by the Perry Police Department that an Edison Middle School student made a comment that caused concern. The situation was immediately addressed. Everything is okay and everyone is safe, no one was ever in danger. That incident however resulted in action taken by the police that is detailed in their press release (see link below). We need to come together and stop instances like this from occurring. Parents and guardians, please have a discussion with your child(ren) to ensure they understand that any statement/action which creates fear, anxiety and/or causes significant public alarm within the Perry Local Schools will not be tolerated. Students must be aware of the language they are using and the potential negative effects it could have. The safety and well-being of our students, staff and community members is our top priority. Follow this link for the complete post and press release from the Perry Police Department.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe.
