We would like to remind all students, staff and community members that while school is closed there are a number of resources available. If you or someone you know needs someone to speak with, please don’t hesitate to use one of the available resources. In addition, if you see something that raises your concern on social media, do not hesitate to utilize these resources as well. All conversations will be kept confidential.
Only through our combined efforts will our community be able to achieve the desired support and safety for our students, staff and community.
Track season is quickly approaching! Please use the link below to sign-up to be a part of the Edison team. It’s quick, easy, and must be done in order to be on the team. You must be signed in to your school Google account to complete. See you on March 5th for our first practice!
Edison Student Council will be hosting a retro 80’s dance on Friday, February 23rd from 6 – 9 pm in the Edison gym. You are encouraged to wear your best 80’s gear as DJ Mostov plays your song requests from the 80’s and today. Tickets are just $2 at the door. Like wow! Don’t miss this totally tubular event! It will be far out!
The February 7th Accuplacer Testing at Edison tonight is canceled due to the snow day. Students will be notified of new testing date via email.
Perry Local Schools will be closed, Wednesday, February 7, 2018, due to inclement weather. Parents/Guardians and students involved in PHS extracurricular activities should check district websites and media outlets for the status of extracurricular events on days when schools are closed. All extracurricular activities (practices, games, and after-school activities) for Perry’s elementary buildings, Pfeiffer Intermediate School, and Edison Middle School are canceled for the day when Perry Local Schools are closed. YCare is closed when Perry Local Schools close for the day. Childcare through the YMCA is offered at the Massillon YMCA, Meyers Lake YMCA, and the Navarre Towpath YMCA when schools are closed.
Edison Art Students were very successful in the 2018 Northeast Central Ohio Scholastic Art Competition! This is the most prestigious art event of the year. Winning a highest honor gold key award is Kendra Harland for painting. Her work was displayed at the show held at Kent State University Stark Campus. Receiving honorable mention awards were Katelyn Barrett for sculpture, Ethan Brown for drawing, Laila Seery for sculpture, and Ryan Wish for drawing. Congratulations!
