Community Pep Rally – Thursday, December 3rd @ 6 PM

IMG_2218On the eve of playing in their first ever state finals for football, the Perry community is ramping up the excitement with a community-wide pep rally to be held Thursday, December 3rd at 6 PM.  The rally will take place in the main gym at Perry High School.  Join us as we wish good luck to our football team as they travel down to Columbus to play in the D2 State Championship game against Cincinnati LaSalle Friday night. Doors will open at 5 PM and the pep rally will start at 6 PM.  The football stadium will be open with the lights on beforehand to take pictures or toss a football around.  Once inside, there will be face painting, the band and cheerleaders will be present, game tickets and shirts will be available for purchase, and 2,000 free rally towels will be given away.   WHBC radio personality Kenny Roda will be the pep rally host.  Players and coaches will be available for pictures and autographs after the pep rally.

Sharon Budd Fundraiser – December 9, 2015

Wendy’s in Perry Township (5017 West Tuscarawas Street) is sponsoring a community fundraiser event from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Wednesday, December 9th, with proceeds going to the Sharon Budd family.  The event is a Star Wars themed event with a bake sale, gift basket raffle and free pictures with Star Wars characters. No School on Friday, December 4th

Main Logo PThis coming Friday, the Perry Panthers will travel to Columbus to compete for a Division II State Football Championship. This exciting time does present some challenges as we look to accommodate the interest in supporting our young men and the Perry community. Ultimately it was decided that Perry Local Schools will close on Friday, December 4th.  Also, there will be a community-wide pep rally on Thursday, December 3rd at 6:00 PM in the Perry High School gymnasium.

Ticket information will be posted Sunday (11/29) afternoon.


Thanksgiving Break

We want to wish all of our students, parents and staff a Happy Thanksgiving! Students will be on break beginning on Wednesday, November 25th through Monday, November 30th. Classes will resume on Tuesday, December 1st. Enjoy!

Edison Geography Bee

IMG_4956Thirty-five 7th & 8th-grade students participated in the Edison Middle School Geography Bee on Monday, November 23, 2015.  After a preliminary round, ten finalists were chosen to compete in the Final Round:  Josh Houck, Jack Betz, Austin Eshelman, Kara Hullihen, Sarah Miller, Kyle Sivits. Congratulations to our Championship Round Participants:  Third place finisher Dominic Bartolone, Runner-up Jacob Messman and Champion Kail Boughman.  Kail will be competing with hundreds from the state to qualify for the state level competition.  Good luck!

Edison Drama Club Performance November 20th & 21st

millionaire copyEdison Drama Club will be performing the play “Who’s Dying to be a Millionaire” on November 20th and 21st at 7:00 p.m.  Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door (no presale).  Concessions will also be available for purchase.
