Perry Local Schools Celebrate National School Lunch Week October 12 – 16

To recognize the National School Lunch Program and the 30 million children it serves every day Perry Local Schools will recognize National School Lunch Week from October 12-16, 2015. The theme, “School Lunch Snapshot” is all about sharing the best images of today’s school lunches.

National School Lunch Week will emphasize the healthy foods that are offered daily at our schools.  School lunches have changed considerably and are healthier than ever, with more fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and less fat and sodium. (more…)

Edison’s Walk-A-Thon-Friday October 16, 2015

Edison will be having a Walk-A-Thon during the school day on Friday, October 16th.  Students have received donation folders, pledge sheets and detailed information. Our goal is to raise $35,000 for our school. If every student in the school raises at least $50.00, we can meet our goal! The funds raised will be spent to benefit our students by helping support Opportunity Day, the Washington DC trip, student incentives, rewards, building improvements (more…)

Girl Scouts Respectfully and Properly Retiring American Flags

Do you have an American Flag that needs properly retired?

Bring your tired, bring your torn… American Flags to Edison Middle School. Girl Scout Troop 61039 will take those flags in order to respectfully and properly retire them for you.  The Troop will be retiring as many flags as they can so they can earn their Silver Award.  The Silver Award is the second highest award in Girl Scouts. The troop has a box in the office at Edison Middle School.  If you have access to a large quantity, please contact Tricia Scott, leader at 330.479.8739 to arrange pickup. Parent Workshop on Social Media Abuse – October 22nd @ 6:30 PM

Addictive behaviors are rapidly increasing amongst  adolescents with social media use and misuse. Mental health professionals will address these  behaviors and provide strategies to aid parents.

As a community service Perry Local Schools and Northeast Behavioral Health are hosting a parent workshop on social media abuse. The workshop will be held on Thursday, October 22nd from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM in Edison’s LRC.  Click here for an event flyer.

Edison School Spirit Tailgate Party – Wednesday, Sept. 30th

Main Logo PAll Edison students are invited to attend Edison’s School Spirit Tailgate Party on Wednesday, September 30th. Stay after school to have hot dogs, chips, play cornhole, and listen to some music DJ’d by your very own Edison teachers! After enjoying fun with your classmates stick around for the 7th Black and 8th Black volleyball  match versus Oakwood Gold.
