State Testing Dates

It’s that time of year when students get to demonstrate their growth and skills on state tests. State testing dates are listed below. If students are present for all of their state tests on testing days, they will be eligible for an early dismissal on the last day of school. Also, we encourage students to bring a water bottle on testing days.

7th/8th Grade ELA Test: Tuesday-4/16 & Wednesday-4/17
7th/8th Grade Math Test: Tuesday-4/23 & Wednesday-4/24
8th Grade Science Test: Tuesday-4/30 & Wednesday-5/1

 

Final Payments for Washington DC Trip

capitol-720677_960_720The final payment for the 8th grade trip to Washington DC is due Friday, April 5th. The company will be here first thing in the morning to collect payments. They accept cash or checks can be made out to Traveling Classrooms. Numerous text reminders have been sent, so if you did not receive them, be sure you are signed up for Edison text reminders.  To receive messages via text, text @edisonms to 81010.

Edison Character Award Recipients

star_PNG41463Teachers from each team select two to three students who have demonstrated outstanding character traits each month. Chosen students are recognized as role models in our school. Their pictures and awards are posted on a hall bulletin board and they are given a window sign to be displayed at home that shows they were selected as a Character Award winner. Perry Aquatic Club

14102429_543233765872383_352439329932412955_nPerry Aquatic Club (PAC) is a year round competitive USA Swimming program. PAC offers guided instruction in competitive swimming for ages 5 and up. We offer training groups for swimmers just entering from swim lessons to the most competitive and skilled swimmers. As a member of PAC, athletes will be coached with an emphasis in sportsmanship and teamwork. The PAC program works in conjunction with the Perry High School Varsity Swimming and Diving team and the Perry Learn-to-Swim program as a progressive swimming community.  Click here for more information and registration.

SPORTS PHYSICAL DAY Friday – May 31, 2019

Perry Pride 200Perry High School Physical Day Friday is May 31, 2019 at 1:45pm. Aultman Hospital will be offering Grades K-12 a complete physical that meets the requirements for participating in athletic sports and is good for one calendar year. If you plan to participate in a sport next year, we encourage you to take advantage of this offer! Aultman will provide physicians, residents, and nurses who will come to Perry High School on Friday, May 31st, starting at 1:45 PM.  The $10.00 fee is not due until Physical Day.  Click here for the flyer.

Social Media Awareness Night – April 8th 6pm

shutterstock_1031485618Pfeiffer Intermediate School will be hosting a special Social Media Awareness Night to discuss the pressures of social media. Students feel such a need to be active in the social media world. The need for “likes” online does affect their self-esteem. Social Media has a way about presenting the best or worst in everyone.  Click here for all the information.

District Hat Day, March 22

This competition is district wide to see which school can raise the most money. The school that raises the most money will be recognized and be able to choose what charity a third of the money will go to. This event is sponsored by PHS Business Professionals of America (BPA) and the Perry Athletic Hall of Fame!  Show your support and wear a hat on Friday March 22nd!
