Teachers from each community select two to three students who have demonstrated outstanding character traits each month. Chosen students are recognized as role models in our school. Their pictures and awards are posted on a hall bulletin board, and they are given a window sign to be displayed at home that shows they were selected as a Character Award winner. March 23rd is Hat Day, for $1 you can wear your hat ALL DAY LONG! This is a friendly competition between schools in our district to see which school can raise the most money. All money raised is split three ways: the school that raises the most money will get to choose a non-profit organization where a third of the money will be sent, a third goes to Business Professionals of America (BPA–Co-sponsors this event) and another third goes to Perry Athletic Hall of Fame (Co-sponsors of this event). Show your support by wearing your favorite hat on March 23rd!
