Today’s students are digital natives and this is how they learn, how they communicate, and how they solve problems. The presence of technology in the lives of our students in undeniable. It’s time to bring that technology into the classroom every single day.  This is education in the 21st century. The focus of the One2One program in the Perry Local Schools is to provide tools and resources for the 21st century learner.  Excellence in education requires that technology be seamlessly integrated throughout the educational curricula. Increased access to technology is essential to build upon college and career readiness skills. New Cell Phone Policy for 2018-2019 School Year

This is a change in practice from previous years however, it is the District’s desire to create the most advantageous learning environment free from the distractions of personal devices. 2018 Edison Yearbooks

Edison yearbooks will be handed out in homeroom on Tuesday, May 29th. We have approximately 50 extra copies if anyone would like to purchase one for $30. Cash or checks made payable to Perry Local Schools.

Edison Awards Programs

Edison’s End of Year Awards Programs will be held on Tuesday, May 29th. 8th Grade will begin at 10:30am and 7th Grade will begin at 12:30pm. Family members are more than welcome to join us in celebrating this year’s accomplishments. Listed below are the various awards that will be given:

Perry Junior Tennis Camp June 4 – 7, 2018

The Perry boys and girls tennis teams will sponsor a Junior Tennis Camp for students entering grades 2-8 in 2018-2019. The tennis camp will be held June 4 – 7 at the Perry High School tennis courts. Camp for grades 2-4 will be from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM. Grades 5-8 will hold camp from 10:45 AM – 12:15 PM.  (more…)

Edison 8th Graders on the Road to Washington, DC

The Edison 8th graders departed for Washington, DC at 6:30 this morning. They are expected to arrive in the city around 2:45 this afternoon and will enjoy three full days of sight seeing, learning, and fun! We are thankful to all who made this trip happen. A special thank you goes out to the Board of Education and Traveling Classrooms for stepping up to ensure that our students get the trip that they have planned and paid for. We are excited for the days ahead!

Perry Girls Basketball Skills Camp

The Perry Girls basketball program will be holding skills camp June 4th through June 7th at the Perry Wellness Center for girls entering 2nd through 8th grades in the 2018-2019 school year. The PHS Girls coaching staff, athletes and Ashland Eagle Karlee Pireu will instruct campers on ball handling, passing, footwork, shooting, defense, post moves and much more. The cost of the camp is $65 per camper and $40 for each additional camper from the same family. Girls entering the 2nd – 5thgrade will be from 8:00am-10:00 am and girls entering 6th – 8th grade will be from 12:30pm-2:30 pm. Questions can be directed to Lauren Bausch at lauren.bausch@aultman.com.

Parent Meeting for 2018-2019 Prospective Athletes

There will be a meeting for parents/guardians of student-athletes entering grades 7-12 on Tuesday, May 29th, @ 6:00 PM inside Perry’s Mattachione Theatre. This meeting will provide important updates regarding OHSAA Regulations & By-Laws, Booster Clubs, Contest Travel Release forms, school day cancellation procedures, spectator/athlete expectations, and to explain general operations of the Athletic Department. You will also have the opportunity to register/update your student athlete’s information on Final Forms (our online Athletic Packet).  Questions and concerns will be addressed at this meeting which will last approximately one hour.
