Athletic Physicals Offered Through Affinity Medical Center – June 13th

athletic physicalsAffinity Medical Center will offer a complete physical that meets the requirements of the Ohio High School Athletic Association for prospective Perry athletes on Friday, June 13th at Perry High School. Cost of the physical is $10 payable at check-in on Friday, June 13th. Checks can be made payable to Perry High School. Check-in for physicals begins at 2:20 PM in the athletic wing lobby.  Physicals are  good for one calendar year. Athletes whose current physicals expire May 17th through June 13th will be granted an extension so that they may take advantage of the physicals being offered on June 13th.  Prospective athletes must have a completed (more…)

The dates for these assessments are as follows:

Tuesday, April 29th – 7th and 8th Grade Reading
Thursday, May 1st – 7th and 8th Grade Math
Tuesday, May 6th – 8th Grade Science

Upcoming 7th and 8th Grade Edison Band Events

Honor BandThe following is a reminder of the upcoming 7th and 8th grade band after school rehearsals and  performances for Bands In The Round and Large Group Contest in May. Both Bands In The Round and Large Group Contest are REQUIRED of all 7th and 8th grade band members, are part of your grade and have been on the calendar since the beginning of the year!  Tickets for Bands In The Round are $6 per person and can be purchased (more…)

Edison Honor & Merit Roll Announced for Third Grading Period

honor_rollEdison students qualifying for the third-quarter honor roll and merit roll have been announced. To be listed on the honor roll a student must have a 3.5 – 4.00 grade-point average. To be listed on the merit roll a student mush have a 3.00 – 3.49 grade-point average. Congratulations to all students who earned this academic recognition.

Edison and Perry T-Shirt Orders

Edison T-Shirt LogoThe Edison Parent Support Group is holding a t-shirt fundraiser. Proceeds will benefit all Edison students.  All t-shirts are jersey style with ¾ quarter sleeves.  T-shirts are $15 each and are available in sizes Youth Large through Adult 3XL with three choices of color styles and two choices of logos. Accepted forms of payment are cash and check, payable to Edison Parent Support Group. All orders are due by Friday, April 25th. Help Edison Team Win National Competition

RubeGoldberg CompetionYou can help a team of Edison students win the People’s Choice Award as part of the 2014 International Online Rube Goldberg Machine Contest. The team, comprised of 13 seventh and eighth grade students, designed and built a simple machine that solved a task. This year’s task: Zip a Zipper. Starting the second week of March, the students worked every morning for 40 minutes (during homeroom) and also came in for a five and one half hour session over spring break.
