PHS Orientation for Current 8th Graders

new Logo PPerry High School will be hosting orientation night for current 8th graders on Thursday, January 10th at 6:00pm. This meeting will provide information and answer your questions concerning 9th grade High School courses, options that are available at PHS, and the registration process.

Kindergarten Registration Information

With school closed for a few days, all Perry Local School Counselors will be out of the office until school resumes.  However, if you or someone you know are in need of mental health assistance during this time, there are resources available to you.  Click here for more information.

Health and Well-Being Update

Perry Pride 200As we approach the new year, Perry Local Schools will maintain its focus on working together with parents to create the healthiest learning environment possible for our students, while encouraging them to make smart choices when it comes to their health and well-being. As you may be aware, vaping has become a prevalent issue among today’s youth, at both the middle and high school levels. As a district, we are seeing an increase in students bringing vaping devices, also known as e-cigarettes, to school and using them on school property. In an effort to help deter students from vaping, the Board of Education is in the process of updating the policy on the Use of Tobacco (policy 5512) to address the collection of vaping devices. School Bus Safety Poster Winners

Bus Safety Poster Winners.2018Art I students recently entered work to the 2018 School Bus Safety Poster Contest.  For the first time ever, Edison took home all of the top three places in the state in the 6-8 grades division!  Receiving third place is Laila Seery, second place is awarded to Jade Lopez, and winning first place is Libby Adams.  Libby’s work will now be sent on to the national competition. Congratulations to you all on an amazing accomplishment!

Edison Character Award Recipients

star_PNG41463Teachers from each community select two to three students who have demonstrated outstanding character traits each month. Chosen students are recognized as role models in our school. Their pictures and awards are posted on a hall bulletin board and they are given a window sign to be displayed at home that shows they were selected as a Character Award winner.
