Genoa is excited to host our first Girls on the Run Team for girls in grades three and four. Mrs. Cumo, Mrs. Lovette, and Mrs. Penrod will be coaching. It will be after school Mondays and Wednesdays till 5:00 beginning March 6 through May 20. Girls do not have to be runners to join. There will be snacks, discussions, and activities. To register go to GOTRStarkCTY.org. Dee Dee Amentas from the county will be at Genoa Tuesday, February 14th during conferences to answer questions, help register, and help with scholarships. Mrs. Berry is excited to announce the Panthers with Character for the first nine weeks at Genoa! A Panther with Character must exhibit the 6 pillars of character (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship) on a regular basis.
These students enjoyed a special catered luncheon, received a special certificate, and each name will be entered into a drawing to win a free bicycle and helmet. KFC of Massillon will donate the bicycle and helmet. (more…)
We are very fortunate to have Mary Shuman as a Perry Local bus driver! She is a ray of sunshine each day as she rounds the corner when picking up and dropping off students at our school. Mary knows the importance of building a positive relationship with students and always goes above and beyond to help students in any way she can. The Massillon Family YMCA will be hosting their 5th annual Monster Mash party on Saturday, October 22nd from 5 PM – 7 PM. This family fun program includes games, refreshments, and fun for the entire family! Participants are asked to bring a canned food donation for the Perry Helping Perry Food Pantry.
