Congratulations to the Genoa fourth graders in Miss Shannon Mitchell’s class who won the second annual Global Cardboard Challenge at Malone University on Saturday, October 5th. With help of Mrs. Aimee Sauls students worked in teams  to design and create an arcade game using recycled materials. The Global Cardboard Challenge is an annual challenge that invites kids around the world to design and build awesome creations using cardboard, recycled materials and imagination. The challenge culminates in a Global Day of Play on October 5th, marking the 2nd anniversary of the flashmob in the “Caine’s Arcade” short film, bringing communities together to celebrate the creativity and imagination of children around the world. Perry Youth Basketball will hold registration for the upcoming 2013-2014 season. Parents/Guardians of boys in grades 3-6 can register their child on Sunday, September 22 or Sunday, September 29 from 3:00p – 7:00p at the Perry Township Hall (map).  More information can be found by visiting perryyouthbasketball.com.

All elementary buildings within Perry schools will have an open house for parents/guardians and students on Thursday, August 15th from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM. Students are encouraged to bring their school supplies to open house.
