Speak Life Resiliency Run Update

front 19graphite (1)The Speak Life Resiliency Run is nearly here and the Perry Local School District is preparing the final touches for what is sure to be a memorable event. The 5K run/walk is in commemoration of the students who lost their lives last year. All of the funds raised by the race will be donated to Akron Children’s Hospital and Coleman Professional Services. The Speak Life Resiliency Run will begin at Perry High School at 9 a.m. on May 4, with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. Pre registration costs $25 for adults and $15 for children (ages 10 and under); on the day of the race, the fee is $30 for adults and $20 for children (ages 10 and under). Friday Night Lights 2It’s that time of year again. After another amazing High School Football Season, we can’t wait to get started this year. Come be a part of the tradition. We at Perry Youth Football (PYF) pride ourselves on a safe place for our kids to learn the game they love and make friends. Playing at the High School Stadium was fantastic! We want our kids to know that Perry High School wants them there enjoying the field and beginning to build their PERRY PRIDE! Perry Local Students to Learn to Link Golf Skills with Life Lessons

ug1JHm_bElementary school students at Genoa, Watson, Whipple, Lohr and Knapp Elementary Schools in Perry Local School District will be introduced to the basic skills of golf along with character and health education in their physical education program. It will be taught by physical educators using safe, fun lesson plans provided in The First Tee National School Program curriculum. The health activities were recently added for students to learn about physical, social and emotional wellness. The First Tee of Canton received grant support from the Gessner Family Foundation to support programming initiatives in Western Stark County. Funds from the grant were used to implement the National School Program in the Perry Local School District. (more…)

Perry Aquatic Club

14102429_543233765872383_352439329932412955_nPerry Aquatic Club (PAC) is a year round competitive USA Swimming program. PAC offers guided instruction in competitive swimming for ages 5 and up. We offer training groups for swimmers just entering from swim lessons to the most competitive and skilled swimmers. As a member of PAC, athletes will be coached with an emphasis in sportsmanship and teamwork. The PAC program works in conjunction with the Perry High School Varsity Swimming and Diving team and the Perry Learn-to-Swim program as a progressive swimming community.  Click here for more information and registration.

SPORTS PHYSICAL DAY Friday – May 31, 2019

Perry Pride 200Perry High School Physical Day Friday is May 31, 2019 at 1:45pm. Aultman Hospital will be offering Grades K-12 a complete physical that meets the requirements for participating in athletic sports and is good for one calendar year. If you plan to participate in a sport next year, we encourage you to take advantage of this offer! Aultman will provide physicians, residents, and nurses who will come to Perry High School on Friday, May 31st, starting at 1:45 PM.  The $10.00 fee is not due until Physical Day.  Click here for the flyer.

Social Media Awareness Night – April 8th 6pm

Students feel such a need to be active in the social media world. The need for “likes” online does affect their self-esteem. District Hat Day, March 22

This competition is district wide to see which school can raise the most money. The school that raises the most money will be recognized and be able to choose what charity a third of the money will go to. This event is sponsored by PHS Business Professionals of America (BPA) and the Perry Athletic Hall of Fame!  Show your support and wear a hat on Friday March 22nd!
