This Thursday (Dec. 1) evening our Perry football team is going back to Columbus to compete for a Division II State Championship. This exciting time presents some challenges as we look to accommodate the interest in supporting our young men, band, cheerleaders and the Perry community. With the game being held on a Thursday night there are additional logistics that make it difficult for everyone traveling. Ensuring everyone’s safety as they head back and forth to Columbus is of the utmost importance. Ultimately, it was decided that Perry Local Schools will be having a 2-hour early release on Thursday, December 1st and Perry Local Schools will not be in session on Friday, December 2nd. It is our hope this allows families to plan accordingly and assists in keeping everyone safe in their travels. Congratulations to all those associated with Perry football and to our community. Enjoy this moment again and let’s not take anything for granted. What an awesome reminder of the many great things happening in Perry Local Schools. Go Panthers!
Latest News for Knapp Elementary
The Perry High School Gymnastics team would love for you to join us on December 10th for a fun-filled day of gymnastics. Each child will have time to try all four events (floor, balance beam, uneven bars, and vault) and receive instruction on basic skills from the Perry gymnasts and coaches. Due to low turnout, the District Autism team has decided to postpone the Perry Supports Parents group scheduled to be held on November 16th. Stay tuned for updates.

Several Perry employees were recently recognized as a Person of Character by the Character Counts program in Stark County. This prestigious award celebrates individuals who live their lives by the Six Pillars of Character and serve as role models to their students and colleagues. Dakota Johns, Ryland and Everette Satterfield (student’s at T.C. Knapp) had a lemonade sale at Falcone’s in August to raise money for Sharon Budd and her family. Recently, these great young boys presented Mrs. Budd with $1,000.00 check. The staff and the community are extremely proud of these gentlemen.
The Chicken BBQ scheduled for Saturday, October 15th will be canceled because of low responses for this event. It may be rescheduled for this spring or next fall. Thank you.
