Looking for a fun and meaningful activity for your son? Sign him up for Cub Scouts! The Cub Scout program is a year-round activity designed for boys entering grades 1-5. Inspired by the idea of fun with a purpose, your Cub Scout will enjoy memorable fun-filled activities year round while building character and confidence along the way. In the next few weeks, the Cub Scouts will be conducting a sign-up meeting in your area (see the schedule below).
The Scouts are scheduled to come into TC Knapp Elementary on Monday, August 28th for an afternoon assembly on Cub Scouts before the sign-up night. The Join Scout Night will take place on Tuesday, August 29th at 6:30 PM in the TC Knapp cafeteria.
T.C. Knapp Elementary will be hosting a Girls on the Run program this coming spring. Girls on the Run is a program that aims to inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which include dynamic discussions, activities, and running games. Over the course of the 10-week program, girls in 3rd through 8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. Dakota Johns, Ryland and Everette Satterfield (student’s at T.C. Knapp) had a lemonade sale at Falcone’s in August to raise money for Sharon Budd and her family. Recently, these great young boys presented Mrs. Budd with $1,000.00 check. The staff and the community are extremely proud of these gentlemen.
The Chicken BBQ scheduled for Saturday, October 15th will be canceled because of low responses for this event. It may be rescheduled for this spring or next fall. Thank you.
