The Edison Middle School staff will hold a benefit dinner and silent auction on Saturday, December 6th at the McKinley Eagles for Sharon Budd and her family. Doors will open at 6 PM with dinner being served at 7 PM. Individual tickets (open seating) are $30 each, or you can reserve a table of ten. Perry High School’s girls volleyball team will be hosting Volley for the Cure on Tuesday, September 30th as part of the Perry versus Lake volleyball game. Koo Koo Kanga Roo is an interactive dance party duo from Minneapolis, MN. They have toured all over the country with Frank Turner, Reel Big Fish, The Aquabats and Yo Gabba Gabba. Since 2008, Koo Koo Kanga Roo have been all over the country putting on shows at preschools, bars, church basements and even nursing homes. The show is centered on acting silly, dancing as hard you can, and sweating.
Friends, neighbors, and cousins of Sharon Budd are hosting a silent auction and raffle on Friday, September 19th from 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM at the Raintree Country Club in Uniontown. Perry Girls Youth Basketball is now accepting registration for girls in grades 3-6 for the upcoming fall basketball league. The league begins on October 7th and runs through November 16th. Girls will participate in a two week skills camp and a four week practice and game schedule. Practices will be held two nights a week with officiated games on Sundays. A parent meeting will be held on September 30th at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria at Pfeiffer.
Perry Youth Basketball has started online registration for boys in grades 3-6 and boys and girls for the co-ed second grade program. This is a league for players of all skill levels. Practices start November 3 and the first games are at Perry High School December 7. Go to perryyouthbasketball.com for more information and online registration. In person registration is Sunday, September 28, 2-6 p.m. at the Perry Township Hall.
