Perry Players Present Cinderella

CinderllaThe Perry Players, celebrating their 54th season, proudly present the enchanting children’s theatre production of Cinderella on Saturday, October 4th at noon in the PHS Mattachione Theatre.  Tickets will be sold at the door 45 minutes before curtain.  The Perry Theatre Clown Troupe will be around to greet the young guests.  Tickets are $3 each.

#BuddStrong Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction – December 6th

#buddstrong1 (2)The Edison Middle School staff will hold a benefit dinner and silent auction on Saturday, December 6th at the McKinley Eagles for Sharon Budd and her family. Doors will open at 6 PM with dinner being served at 7 PM. Individual tickets (open seating) are $30 each, or you can reserve a table of ten. Family Literacy Tips from A – Z: Thursday, October 16th @ 6 PM

Join us on Thursday, October 16th from 6p – 8p at RG Drage Career Technical Center  for an evening full of great tips on how to enhance literacy skills in your home and beyond. The presenter will focus on ways to support your child’s success in school through a strong parent/teacher partnership. NSLW14 logoPerry Cafeterias celebrate Healthy School Lunches and Breakfasts! Do you know what is being served in Perry Local School’s Cafeteria?  The answer may surprise you.  Today’s School Lunches are healthier than ever.  We offer students fruits and vegetables every day including the introduction of more fresh, locally grown produce, an increase in offerings of whole grains, and the limit of calories, fat, and sodium to age-appropriate levels.  October 13-17 is National School Lunch Week. Volley for the Cure – Tuesday, September 30th

VolleyForTheCurePerry High School’s girls volleyball team will be hosting Volley for the Cure on Tuesday, September 30th  as part of the Perry versus Lake volleyball game.  Events for the evening kick-off at 3:45 PM with a Perry Police versus Perry Firefighters volleyball match. Parent Teacher Conferences – October 7th, 9th, & 13th

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 7th and Thursday, October 9th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM each night. Conferences will also be held on Monday, October 13th from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM.  There will be no school for students on Monday, October 13th.

Conference letters were sent home last week with students. Please return letters with preferences, or call the school at 330-484-3924

 

Number Bonds in First Grade

IMG_0035Mrs. Deuble’s class has been working on numbers bonds.  Number bonds mean two parts equal a whole number.  We have been excited to find out that some math problems even have more than one right answer!  During panther time we have been playing a number bond board game with a buddy.  We even have a chance to earn a starburst treat from the teacher if we land on that space on the game board!

Mrs. Alm’s 2nd Graders as Super Heros

lohrpictMrs. Alm’s class wrote about themselves as a super hero.  Addison Kreger wrote about herself as Bat Woman and drew a picture of herself as the super hero.  All of the students’ work will be on display for parents to view during fall conferences in October.

First Graders Remember September 11th

photo 5The Lohr 1st grade class, taught by Mrs. Shell, remembered September 11th with Patriotic ribbons.   They also gave a hand in making an American Flag for all our American heroes that help protect us every day.
