Perry Theatre opens 51st Season

CHILDREN’S THEATRE – RUMPELSTILTSKIN

Perry Theatre Director, “Louie” Mattachione has announced RUMPELSTILTSKIN as being this years Children’s Theatre annual production. Show date is set for Saturday, October 1st in the PHS MATTACHIONE THEATRE with a curtain time of 12:00 Noon. Tickets at $2.00 are available only at the door. Doors will open 45 minutes prior to show time. Audience members will have the opportunity to meet and greet the Perry Players Clown Troupe.

As in past Perry Players Children’s Theatre productions, RUMPELSTILTSKIN carries an important lesson and message for young audience members. With colorful costumes, set designs and Theatre lighting the story is sure to captivate and thrill audience members.

A total of 11 Perry Player students have been selected as cast members for the show. Another 40 students will be working behind the scenes and as clowns.

Senior Nick Bailey is this years Senior Assistant Director, while Alaina Harless has been selected as Junior Director. Matt Lunsford is the Perry Theatre Senior Sound Director while Ryan Fuller has been selected as Junior Sound Technician.

Dr. John Richard and Elementary School Principals are continuing the long standing Perry Theatre tradition of transporting Perry elementary and St. Joan of Arc students in grades 1, 2, and 3 to the PHS MATTACHIONE THEATRE for the annual Elementary Theatre Field Trip on Monday, October 3rd. The annual Field Trip offers a first time exposure to “Live Theatre” for many of the young students.
