Perry Aquatic Club (PAC) is a year round competitive USA Swimming program. PAC offers guided instruction in competitive swimming for ages 5 and up. We offer training groups for swimmers just entering from swim lessons to the most competitive and skilled swimmers. As a member of PAC, athletes will be coached with an emphasis in sportsmanship and teamwork. The PAC program works in conjunction with the Perry High School Varsity Swimming and Diving team and the Perry Learn-to-Swim program as a progressive swimming community. We are gearing up for another exciting football season! Reserve your season tickets now for the 2019 Varsity Football season. Sales will begin Monday, March 18, 2019, and go through Friday, May 10, 2019. Season ticket holders will be contacted when the exact pick-up dates and times become available. The cost is $40.00 per set (5 homes games). By ordering season tickets, you are guaranteed your reserved seat(s) for the entire season. At the time of pick-up, you will receive all of your tickets plus a season ticket holder membership card. You will be able to keep your reserved seat assignment(s) from year-to-year, provided you purchase season tickets each year. Season ticket holders are able to purchase tickets for away and post-season games by showing their season ticket holder membership card starting on Tuesday morning the week of the game. The general public is permitted to start purchasing tickets on Wednesday of the same week. To reserve your season tickets, fill out this form.
Perry High School Physical Day Friday is May 31, 2019 at 1:45pm. Aultman Hospital will be offering Grades K-12 a complete physical that meets the requirements for participating in athletic sports and is good for one calendar year. If you plan to participate in a sport next year, we encourage you to take advantage of this offer! Aultman will provide physicians, residents, and nurses who will come to Perry High School on Friday, May 31st, starting at 1:45 PM. The $10.00 fee is not due until Physical Day. Pfeiffer Intermediate School will be hosting a special Social Media Awareness Night to discuss the pressures of social media. Students feel such a need to be active in the social media world. The need for “likes” online does affect their self-esteem. Social Media has a way about presenting the best or worst in everyone. Click here for all the information.
Several athletic teams from Perry High School (PHS) recently participated in competitive tournaments at both the district and state levels to finish out their winter seasons. Perry High School’s boys’ basketball team competed in the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s (OHSAA) Division I Boys High School Basketball District Semifinals. Held at the Canton Memorial Civic Center, Perry’s team lost in the district semi-final game to Jackson High School, concluding their season. “The boys’ basketball team and Coach Chad Spurgeon continue to improve each year,” said Scott Campbell, PHS athletic director. Our 5th annual hat day for 2019 is coming up Friday March 22nd. For only $1 you can wear your hat all day. This competition is district wide to see which school can raise the most money. The school that raises the most money will be recognized and be able to choose what charity a third of the money will go to. This event is sponsored by PHS Business Professionals of America (BPA) and the Perry Athletic Hall of Fame! Show your support and wear a hat on Friday March 22nd!
Perry Local School District will host a 5K run/walk, called the Speak Life Resiliency Run, on May 4 in commemoration of the students who lost their lives last year. All of the funds raised by the race will be donated to Akron Children’s Hospital and Coleman Professional Services. Click here to register! The 5K was established after many discussions between Perry High School students and Principal Dave Riley. In particular, PHS senior Bryan Winslow, sophomore Peter Smith and freshman Zach Smith have spearheaded the discussions with hopes to preserve the memory of the peers they sadly lost.

Twenty-six students in Perry High School’s (PHS) Teacher Academy recently competed at the “Embrace Your Super Power” Educators Rising Ohio State Conference on Feb. 28 and March 1 at Capital University in Bexley, Ohio, and earned a number of impressive accolades. More than 800 students participated in the state competition from 47 different schools across Ohio. The competition incorporates numerous performance-based competitive events in which teenage aspiring teachers demonstrate their knowledge, skills and leadership in education. With a blend of individual and team events, competitions are authentic, engaging opportunities for rising educators to stretch their creativity, commitment and professionalism. (more…)
