Perry Cheerleading Clinic Set for Saturday, January 30th

cheerPerry High School Youth “Pink OUT” Basketball Cheer Clinic will be Saturday, January 30, 2016, from 10 am – 3 pm at Edison Middle School.  Youth girls will cheer with our Perry cheerleaders, Friday, February 12, 2016, against Green. This game will be our fourth annual basketball “PINK OUT” game.  Please sign up and reserve a spot quickly for your future Perry cheerleader! The cost for the clinic is $40 per child and includes a shirt to wear the night of the game.  Please have your child bring a snack lunch with a drink.  Click here for a clinic flyer and registration form. Parent/Professional Communication, Is Your Child A Target of Bullying?

district9The District 9 State Support Team will be holding two presentations to help promote family engagement with schools. The first presentation, Parent/Professional Communication is on Tuesday, January 26th. The second opportunity, Is Your Child a Target of Bullying?, will take place on Thursday, February 25th. Boys Basketball Fundraiser @ Chipotle – Tuesday, January 19th

Come into the Chipotle at 4130 Tuscarawas St in Canton on Tuesday, January 19th between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Bring in this flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you’re supporting the cause to make sure that 50% of the proceeds will be donated to Perry’s boys basketball team.

Wrestling Senior Night Set for Thursday, January 7th

The Perry wrestling team will be hosting Senior Night on Thursday, January 7th at 6:00 PM at the high school.  The Panthers will be facing Green High School.  The next scheduled meet after Senior Night will be Saturday, January 9th when the Panthers host Lake at 1:00 PM

Congratulations to Aleah Mesaros who recently was awarded with the Hugh O’brian Youth Leadership Award.  Administrators, teachers, and counselors nominate qualified students for this prestigious award. Perry High School staff evaluate nominee essays. Aleah will represent Perry by attending a regional leadership conference. Past Perry winners were Alexis Sommer and Leah Reese.

Congratulations to Perry High School students Karlee Pireu and Tevion Cleveland for being honored with the Rotary Youth Leadership Award. These two students will represent Perry High School at a leadership conference in February. The two juniors were selected on behalf of the Perry Township Rotary. Past winners of this award are Amelia Duplain and Logan Copeland.

Genoa Raffling Off Quilt for Cosi on Wheels Visit

Black and White QuiltGenoa Elementary is holding a quilt raffle to bring Cosi on Wheels to their students this spring. Two different twin size quilts are being raffled off. The t-shirt quilts are the perfect size to take to outdoor sporting events, or for wrapping up in at home. Past, present and future Panthers will love these quilts. (more…)
