Perry History Club Upcoming Events

A Strawberry Social will be held at the old Genoa Schoolhouse on Genoa Road South across the street from the Perry Police Department on  June 18th from 2 to 4 p.m.  Enjoy strawberries, ice cream, and shortcake.  Play  games, take a peek at our new floor in the schoolhouse and learn about our township history.
The next meeting is Monday, June 20, 2016, at 6 p.m.  The speaker will be our historian, Cary Coates,  the subject is Genealogy.  The Perry History Club meets on Genoa Rd SW in the lower level of the Perry Police Department. The public is welcome.

Support a Perry Student in Fight with Cancer

The  Rotary of Perry Township, in cooperation with Members of Perry Local Schools, encourage you to pledge your support to the Angelyna Callahan ~ Cancer Fund.
On May 5th, 2016  fifteen (15)  year old Angelyna Callahan was diagnosed with stage four (4 ) cancer. Before that, she had always been a happy, healthy young girl. Angelyna has completed phase 1 of 7 chemo treatments. June 1st was the first day of her second round of chemo.  (more…)


Perry High School has been chosen to host a teaching assistant from Japan for the 2016-2017 school year.  We are one of only ten schools in the country awarded this opportunity. The young lady coming to Perry is a graduate of Tokyo University and will co-teach Japanese at the high school with Deana Kramer.  Our teaching assistant will be in Perry for up to two years learning to teach a foreign language and helping the Japanese classes.  We also plan to get her involved in the community and other schools in the district and help build connections between Perry and Japan. Perry Girls Basketball Skill Camp

The Perry Girls Basketball program will hold a skills camp June 6th – 8th in the main gym at Perry High School. Camp will run from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM for girls entering grades 3 – 6. Girls entering 7 – 12 will have camp from 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM. The skill camp will cover ball handling, footwork, passing, defense, and post moves.  The cost of the camp is $50 per camper, $35 for each additional camper from the same immediate family. The PHS Girls golf team will hold a golf skills youth clinic from Wednesday, June 1st through Friday, June 3rd from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM each day at the Legends Golf Course (map).  Girls ages 8-14 are eligible for the clinic. Participants will learn the following skills:  putting, chipping, swing mechanics, and course etiquette.  The cost for the skills clinic is $30 per player. Contact Joe Whitmer ( with questions.
