Special Guest Visits Lohr Second Grade

image10Mrs. Alm had a rather unusual guest to the class for a day.  Becky Kovesci brought her rabbit, Senor Bun Buns, to school for a lesson in science.  Students in Mrs. Alm’s class talked about how the rabbit prepares itself for the winter, its habitat, and food. The children are looking forward to Senor Bun Buns visit every season this school year.

D.A.R.E. Skate Party – Friday,October 24th

DARE4Join your Perry friends and classmates for a D.A.R.E. sponsored skate party on Friday, October 24th at the North Canton Skate Center from 10 AM – 2 PM. This is also a great opportunity to meet Perry’s new D.A.R.E. officer,  Officer Andrea Blanc.  The cost to participate  is $5.75 which includes skate/roller blade rental. Speed skates are $1.50 extra. Additional activities are laser tag, rock-wall, bumper cars, euro bungee, and 30 new video games. *Pricing for additional activities is $12 for a two hour pass, $15 for a three hour pass, or $20 for a four hour pass.

Stark County Schools Joint Statement: Ebola Health Issues

Band Fundraiser Mattress Sale

IMG_6080Perry High School Bands will be holding their 4th annual Mattress Sale this Saturday from 10AM-5PM.  The mattress showroom will be set up in the small gym at Perry High School and will include name brand mattresses of all sizes and prices.

23rd Annual Perry Rotary Basketball Preview

Lohr 3rd Graders Healing the World

100_0004“Heal the World” is what Judy Moody wants to do in the story “Judy Moody Saves the World.” We are busy doing our part to “heal” the world in Mrs, Williamson’s third grade classroom integrating reading and science. Students have been collecting paper, plastic, cardboard, and aluminum for recycling. What can you do to “Heal the World?

Pfeiffer 5th Graders Enjoy a Morning with Mom

Pfeiffer 5th grade students enjoyed some time with mom on Friday, October 10th. The Mornings with Mom and Donuts with Dad programs encourage Pfeiffer’s parents and guardians to come in and spend some time with their Pfeiffer student(s).

The next scheduled Donuts for Dads will be held for 6th grade students only, on Friday, April 10th. Mornings with Mom will be held for 6th graders on Friday, April 17th.

Perry Band Earns 7th Straight Superior Rating

perryband2The Perry High School Marching Band wrapped up their competition season with a third state qualifying Superior rating, and the highest score of the year, taking 2nd place in AA, and 2nd place overall out of 18 bands.  In addition, they scored the highest music score in PHSMB history.  This marks the 7th consecutive Superior rating for the Marching Panthers.

Tastefully Simple Fundraiser

Untitled drawingEvery year, the Perry High School Teacher Academy students donate to a cause that is important to them.  The FEA organization encourages students to engage in philanthropic activities. This year, they selected to support Mrs. Sharon Budd and her family.  Stephanie Denham, a Tastefully Simple consultant, has offered to donate 20% of sales and Tastefully Simple products to Sharon and her family.  The sale starts today and ends on October 23rd, 2014.
