The Perry Athletic Department is excited to offer several different cost-saving options for Perry students, residents, and fans for upcoming athletic events. Each pass is good for all 7th grade through varsity home athletic events during the regular season, with the exception of OHSAA playoff tournaments and invitationals. The FAN-tastic Pass & Student All Sports Pass can be purchased through the athletic office Monday thru Thursday 8 AM – 3 PM. The Senior Citizen Club Pass is available free of charge to any Perry resident 65 years or older. The senior pass can be picked up at the Board of Education Office Monday thru Friday 8 AM – 3 PM. Show your Perry spirit and support the PHS Cheerleaders by purchasing a Perry Whiteout t-shirt for the October 22nd game versus McKinley at Central Catholic. Shirts are $8. Congratulations to the members of the Perry High School Marching Band on qualifying for OMEA State Finals for the 6th consecutive year. The Marching Panthers competed at the Revere Invitational on Saturday, bringing home awards for Best Overall Music, Reserve Grand Champions, and earned an overall Superior rating. The band has now earned superior ratings at 15 consecutive competitions spanning 5 years.
The Perry Player’s will open their 56th season with the Perry Children’s Theatre production of The Emperor’s New Clothes. Show time is Saturday, October 1st at 12:00 PM in the Mattachione Theatre at Perry High School. Tickets are $3 each and only sold at the door. Doors will open 45 minutes ahead of the show. Arrive early to meet the Perry Theatre Clown Troop before the show begins. The Perry Children’s Theatre is a Perry tradition for the young and young at heart! Click here for an event flyer.
The Perry Youth Girls Basketball Fall League will take place in the main gymnasium at Perry High School for girls in grades 3rd thru 6th. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of offense and defense at a two week skills camp prior to practicing and competing in scheduled games. Perry High School’s girls volleyball team will be hosting Volley for a Cure on Tuesday, September 20th as part of the Perry versus Green volleyball game. Any cancer survivor in attendance will be recognized. Events for the evening kick-off at 3:00 PM with the students versus staff volleyball match. All proceeds from 50/50 and basket raffles will be donated to the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation. (more…)
The Perry High School Band will be holding their 6th annual mattress sale fundraiser on Saturday, October 1st from 10AM-5PM at Perry High School. All sizes of mattresses will be available. A variety of mattress types: firm, pillow-top, orthopedic, latex, and gel memory foam sets will be for sale. All mattresses are BRAND NEW with full factory warranties. Name brands like Simmons, Beautyrest, and more will be part of the selection. Delivery and free layaway are available. The Perry volleyball team will be hosting a Budd Strong fundraiser on Thursday, September 8 at 5 PM during their match versus Lake. Join the Lake and Perry communities in supporting the Budd family. The success of this event is dependent on generous donations of an item, gift cards, or cash for baskets to be raffled off that evening. All proceeds from the event benefit the Budd family.
