A benefit spaghetti dinner will be held for Joe Tayse and his family on Friday, November 7th from 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM at the Richville Community Park. Tickets to the event are $10. Joe Tayse is currently battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Joe is the father of two time state wrestling champion JoJo Tayse and Marie Tayse, a member of the 2010 state champion softball team.

For the second year in a row, the PHS Marching band has earned a “Superior” rating at the OMEA State Contest. The band traveled to Dayton on Sunday, November 2nd. The Marching Panthers were the only band in their block to earn the Superior rating. Congratulations to Director Ryan Smith, his staff and all the students of the marching band.
A benefit dance for Sharon Budd and her family will be held at the Knights of Columbus in Massillon on Saturday, November 15th from 8 – 11 PM with doors opening at 6:30 PM. Jimmy and the Soul Blazers will perform. Other featured events include a 50/50 raffle, basket auction and a cash bar. Tickets are $20 with checks payable to Benefit for Sharon Budd. 1985 Perry Graduate Joe Tayse is battling Hodgkins’s lymphoma. There will be a spaghetti dinner to benefit Joe and his family on Friday, November 7th from 4:30-7:30pm at Richville Community Park. The Cost is $10.00. Joe has had an impact on a number of Perry students since his graduation having coached youth, middle school, and varsity levels in a variety of sports including football, wrestling, and track & field.
Several Perry employees were recently recognized as a Person of Character by the Character Counts program in Stark County. This prestigious award celebrates individuals who live their lives by the Six Pillars of Character and serve as role models to their students. Mrs. Alm had a rather unusual guest to the class for a day. Becky Kovesci brought her rabbit, Senor Bun Buns, to school for a lesson in science. Students in Mrs. Alm’s class talked about how the rabbit prepares itself for the winter, its habitat, and food. The children are looking forward to Senor Bun Buns visit every season this school year.
