Congratulations to both the Perry Concert Band and Perry Symphonic Winds for earning Superior ratings on Friday evening at the OMEA District Contest. Both bands traveled to John Glenn High School where they earned perfect scores of straight Superior ratings. This is the sixth consecutive year that the bands have qualified for OMEA State Band Contest.

Friday, March 18th all of Perry Local Schools will be participating in Perry’s Hat Day for just $1.00. Students and staff can wear a baseball hat, a chef hat, a cowboy hat, or any kind of crazy hat! All the money raised will be split between Perry Athletic Hall of Fame and Perry Helping Perry. The school that raises the most money will get to choose what non-profit organization the money will go to the following year, along with bragging rights!
Congratulations to our Perry artists for winning the Battle of the Brush. High school and middle school teams were given the theme of “I dream my paintings, and then I paint my dreams” and had two hours to create their painting. Stark State College is hosting Tech Savvy, a daylong science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) career conference designed to attract girls in sixth through ninth grade to these fields and to inform families about STEM education and careers. Congratulations to Perry High School Marching Band Flag Line members Madison Morgan and Marissa Westfall for being selected to participate in the Bands of America Honor Band in the 2017 Tournament of Roses Parade! Students from all over the United States submitted video auditions to be selected as part of this prestigious group of 300 high school band members. The Perry Players, celebrating their 55th anniversary season, present Monty Python’s Spamalot, the hilarious “Tony Award” winning Broadway musical. Shows will take place at 7:30 PM each evening beginning on Wednesday, March 16th through Saturday, March 19th in the Mattichione Theatre at Perry High School.
