Boys Track State Qualifiers

Charlie Steiner (Jr) won the Regional Championship in Pole Vault at 14 feet 3 inches and will be competing at the State Track Championship at Ohio State on Saturday along with LePear Smith (Sr) who placed 2nd in the 300 Meter Hurdles. (more…)

Senior Recognition and Scholarship Information

Perry High School’s Senior Recognition was held Wednesday, May 19th.  Recognized were Perry’s top 10 academic students, Mr. and Miss Perryite, Mr. and Miss Citizenship and scholarship recipients. This year’s graduating seniors have the potential of being awarded $2,067,836 in scholarships and grants over the next four years toward their education. (more…)

Pfeiffer 7th Grade Band Receives Honors!

This past April, the Pfeiffer Middle School 7th grade band was invited to The University of Akron to participate in a performance clinic.  The faculty at The University of Akron worked with students in both large and small group settings.  The students learned new techniques for both individual practice and large group performance. PHS Instrumental Director Announced

Perry High School is excited to announce that Ryan Smith will be approved by our B.O.E. as the new Instrumental Director.  Ryan brings head instrumental credentials from Huron High School and most recently as a partner director of West Lakota High School bands.  Mr. Smith will meet and greet with all band parents and students this Saturday in the Mattachione Theater beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Track Teams District Championship Preliminaries

The Boys and Girls Track Teams made a superior showing at Hoover last night at the District Championship preliminaries.  The boys are leading the meet going into the finals on Friday.  Qualifying to the Regional Championship are, Charlie Steiner – 1st in Pole Vault, Doug Mayes – 3rd in discus, Angelo Capuano – 4th in long jump, the boys 4×800 team of Chase Daniels, Drew Tormasi, Justin Eddy, and Aaron white – 3rd, and the girls 4×800 team of Hailey Floom, Stacy Cameron, Mikayla Dearing, and Jackie Genetin – 4th.  Both teams have many runners who have qualified to Friday’s meet finals.
