End of Year Dress Code Reminders

dresscodePfeiffer Families,

As warm weather is approaching we wanted to be pro-active about reminding parents about acceptable dress during the end of the year.  The most common dress code infractions are typically one of the following:

– Shorts – No shorter than the tip of the fingers, must have a sewn hem, no cotton athletic shorts.

– Holes – Jeans and shorts are to be neat  and in good repair.  Holes in jeans and shorts are not permitted even if skin isn’t showing.

-Tights  – Tights, yoga pants, leggings, and other tight fitting clothing is permitted as long as these are worn with an overskirt, dress, shirt or shorts that fall beyond fingertip length and/or cover appropriately.

– Shirts – Must cover midriff, camisoles cannot be worn alone, sleeveless shirts are permitted-sleeve must come to shoulder.

– Hair – Must be kept out of the eyes, no extremes in cut or color, boys hair may not fall beneath the bottom of a dress shirt collar.

The purpose of the dress code is to foster a positive attitude towards learning and behavior as well as provide for a healthy and safe atmosphere devoid of distractions.  We appreciate your continued support!
The complete dress code can be found on page 11 of the student handbook.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the school office.
