1:1 Chromebook Information

2000px-Chromebook.svgEach 5th and 6th grader receives a Chromebook after they have turned in the completed forms listed below:
  • Student/Parent Chromebook Policy and Acceptance Receipt
  • Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement
Specifics about the 1:1 Program at Perry can be found in the Student/Parent Laptop/Chromebook Handbook.
We strongly encourage parents/guardians to purchase the insurance that is offered for the price of $20.00. The deadline to purchase Chromebook insurance is September 14, 2018. This purchase is only available online at: Chromebook Insurance Sign Up . Open House Information

The Pfeiffer Open House is Monday August 20th from 6 to 7pm.  Students will pick up schedules in their home rooms at this time. Home room lists will be posted Monday August 13th at 3:00pm by door #1.

Pfeiffer Student Recognition Assembly – May 29, 2018

Pfeiffer’s End of Year Awards Programs will be held on Tuesday, May 29th. 5th Grade will begin at 8:10 am and 6th Grade will begin at 9:30 am. 3rd Grading Period Honor & Merit Roll

honor_rollPfeiffer Intermediate is proud to announce students qualifying for the third-quarter honor roll and merit roll. To be listed on the honor roll, a student must have a 3.5 – 4.00 grade-point average. To be listed on the merit roll, a student must have a 3.00 – 3.49 grade-point average. Congratulations to all students who earned this academic recognition.

Understanding Trauma – Tuesday, April 3, 2018 @ 6 PM.

Pfeiffer Intermediate School will be hosting “Understanding Trauma,” a 90-minute session to offer practical tools for school staff, parents, and community members. The program will consist of an introduction to trauma, managing trauma in the school, increasing developmental assets and recognizing secondary
traumatic stress. “Understanding Trauma” will be instructed by Akron Children’s Hospital’s Community Education Program Leader, Melissa McClain. Melissa offers social and emotional learning curriculum that includes preschool-12th-grade classroom options. She also provides psychological trauma education for teachers and other school professionals.

Perry Chess Club

IMG_7014The Perry Chess Club held its own tournament for the various school buildings. Edison’s 8th grader, Anthony Ceccanese, won the Edison division of the chess tournament. Coming in 2nd place was 7th grader, Jesse Warner,  and 3rd place was 6th grader, Tyler Fahrni.  Congratulations to all!
