TechSavvy Program Being Offered at Stark State College

tech savvyStark State College is hosting Tech Savvy, a daylong science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) career conference designed to attract girls in sixth through ninth grade to these fields and to inform families about STEM education and careers. The Perry Players Present Monty Python’s Spamalot

montypythonThe Perry Players, celebrating their 55th anniversary season, present Monty Python’s Spamalot, the hilarious “Tony Award” winning Broadway musical. Shows will take place at 7:30 PM each evening beginning on Wednesday, March 16th through Saturday, March 19th in the Mattichione Theatre at Perry High School.  A matinee will be held on Sunday, March 20th at 2:30 PM. School Closed on Tuesday, February 16, 2016

school closedPerry Local Schools will be closed, Tuesday, February 16, 2016, due to inclement weather.  Parents/Guardians and students involved in PHS extracurricular activities should check district websites and media outlets for the status of extracurricular events on days when schools are closed.  All extracurricular activities (practices, games, and after school activities) for Perry’s elementary buildings, Pfeiffer Intermediate School, and Edison Middle School are cancelled for the day when Perry Local Schools are closed. Y­Care is closed when Perry Local Schools close for the day. Childcare through the YMCA is offered at the Massillon YMCA, Meyers Lake YMCA, and the Navarre Towpath YMCA when schools are closed.

February Topics For Ant-Bullying Program

IMG_0529Pfeiffer’s anti-bullying program is continuing to help keep a positive atmosphere in the classrooms, hallways, and all other areas of our school.  Each month, we conduct two class meetings on a specific topic related to bullying.  For the month of February, we are focusing on “Teasing versus Bullying”.  We want students to know and understand the difference between the two.  We will be discussing examples of harmless teasing and hurtful language so that students can label a situation correctly when they see one.  Our class meetings for this month are Friday, February 12th and Friday, February 26thThis Friday, the winner of our anti-bullying door decorating contest will be announced as well!  They look amazing!

Passport to France Event

PHS will host our annual Passport to France Event for students in 5th-8th grade on Friday, February 26th!

5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders are invited to “travel” around Perry High School to learn French words, play games and do French crafts. We will also cook and eat French foods and learn French music!  (more…)

State Support Team 9 to Host Conference for Families & Educators of Children with Diverse Needs

district9The State Support Team Region 9 is pleased to present their 8th annual Conference for Families and Educators of Children with Diverse Needs on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the R.G. Drage Career Technical Center. The conference will focus on building blocks to promote success for children, families and educators.   Registration, refreshments, and networking begin at 7:45 AM. Perry Pride to be on Display at February 2nd Basketball Game

Main Logo PPerry pride will be on full display at the boys basketball game on Tuesday, February 2nd versus Coventry. Dave Riggs, a recent inductee into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, will be recognized between the first and second quarter of the varsity boys basketball game. The 2015 Division II State Runner-up Perry Panthers football team will be recognized at halftime. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM in the main gym at Perry High School, or approximately one-half hour after the conclusion of the junior-varsity game.

Anyone wearing a Perry Spirit Shirt, as pictured in the flyer, will be admitted free to this special night. Fans who wear their spirit shirt to the girls basketball game on Wednesday, February 10th will also be admitted free. Click here for more information on how to order your Perry Spirit Shirt.
