The State Support Team Region 9 is pleased to present their 8th annual Conference for Families and Educators of Children with Diverse Needs on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the R.G. Drage Career Technical Center. The conference will focus on building blocks to promote success for children, families and educators. Registration, refreshments, and networking begin at 7:45 AM. Perry pride will be on full display at the boys basketball game on Tuesday, February 2nd versus Coventry. Dave Riggs, a recent inductee into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, will be recognized between the first and second quarter of the varsity boys basketball game. The 2015 Division II State Runner-up Perry Panthers football team will be recognized at halftime. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM in the main gym at Perry High School, or approximately one-half hour after the conclusion of the junior-varsity game.
Anyone wearing a Perry Spirit Shirt, as pictured in the flyer, will be admitted free to this special night. Fans who wear their spirit shirt to the girls basketball game on Wednesday, February 10th will also be admitted free. Click here for more information on how to order your Perry Spirit Shirt.

The Perry baseball staff and players will hold a youth clinic for players, including girls, ages 8 – 14 on Sunday, March 13th at Perry High School. Session 1 will concentrate on offense and run from 9 AM – 11 AM. Session 2 will be held from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM with lunch provided for campers who sign up for both sessions. The cost to attend one session of your choice is $30 per player with no lunch provided. Two sessions, including lunch, is $50. There is an immediate family member discount. (more…)
Pfeiffer students qualifying for the second grading period honor roll and merit roll have been announced. To be listed on the honor roll a student must have a 3.5 – 4.00 grade-point average. To be listed on the merit roll a student mush have a 3.00 – 3.49 grade-point average. Congratulations to all students who earned this academic recognition.

Parent-Teacher conferences will be on Tuesday, February 9th (5p – 8p) and Thursday, February 11th (5p – 8p). Students do not have classes on Monday, February 15th.
Attention families and educators! Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Strategies in Action, gives families, and service providers tools to ensure they are equipped to care adequately for, support educate, employ or work with individuals on the autism spectrum from early childhood to young adulthood. These modules are offered through the Autism Certification Center, which provides professional development hours and certificate(s). Those who work and reside in Ohio receive a free yearly subscription. This project is funded through a joint state agency collaborative.
Join your Perry friends and classmates for a D.A.R.E. sponsored skate party on Friday, January 15th at the North Canton Skate Center (map) from 10 AM – 1 PM. The cost to participate is $6 which includes skate/rollerblade rental. Speed skates are $1.50 extra. Additional activities are laser tag, rock wall, bumper cars, euro bungee, and 30 new video games. Ohio school law has changed the immunization requirements for current 6th-grade students entering 7th grade in the fall of 2016. Students must show proof of immunization before starting the 2016-2017 school year for the following:
- TDaP vaccine (to protect from Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis)
- Meningococcal (A, C, Y, W-135) vaccine (to protect from Meningitis)
Any current 6th-grade student who has not had the immunizations listed above before the start of the 2016-2017 school year, will not be permitted to attend school until proof of (more…)
