D.A.R.E. Sponsoring Skate Party – Friday, January 15th

DARE4Join your Perry friends and classmates for a D.A.R.E. sponsored skate party on Friday, January 15th at the North Canton Skate Center (map) from 10 AM – 1 PM. The cost to participate is $6 which includes skate/rollerblade rental. Speed skates are $1.50 extra. Additional activities are laser tag, rock wall, bumper cars, euro bungee, and 30 new video games. Pricing for other activities is $12 for a two-hour unlimited pass or $15 for a three-hour unlimited pass. Click here for an event flyer.

New Immunization Requirements for 2016-2017

Ohio school law has changed the immunization requirements for current 6th-grade students entering 7th grade in the fall of 2016. Students must show proof of immunization before starting the 2016-2017 school year for the following:

  • TDaP vaccine (to protect from Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis)
  • Meningococcal (A, C, Y, W-135) vaccine (to protect from Meningitis)

Any current 6th-grade student who has not had the immunizations listed above before the start of the 2016-2017 school year, will not be permitted to attend school until proof of (more…)

Perry Cheerleading Clinic Set for Saturday, January 30th

cheerPerry High School Youth “Pink OUT” Basketball Cheer Clinic will be Saturday, January 30, 2016, from 10 am – 3 pm at Edison Middle School.  Youth girls will cheer with our Perry cheerleaders, Friday, February 12, 2016, against Green. This game will be our fourth annual basketball “PINK OUT” game.  Please sign up and reserve a spot quickly for your future Perry cheerleader! The cost for the clinic is $40 per child and includes a shirt to wear the night of the game.  Please have your child bring a snack lunch with a drink.  Click here for a clinic flyer and registration form. Parent/Professional Communication, Is Your Child A Target of Bullying?

district9The District 9 State Support Team will be holding two presentations to help promote family engagement with schools. The first presentation, Parent/Professional Communication is on Tuesday, January 26th. The second opportunity, Is Your Child a Target of Bullying?, will take place on Thursday, February 25th. Pfeiffer Winter Carnival – Friday, January 29th

wintercarnivalPfeiffer’s Winter Carnival will take place on Friday, January 29th from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. A $5 admission fee allows students to participate in the photo booth, inflatables, video games, food, and much more! Tickets will be on sale during lunch periods Tuesday, January 26th through Thursday, January 28th.

Pfeiffer Choir to Perform at Canton Charge Game

Pfeiffer’s choir will perform at the pre-game show and the Star Spangled Banner at the Canton Charge game on Saturday, January 23rd at 7 PM. Tickets to the game can be purchased at a discount price by using the attached form by January 11th.  All choir members and families must purchase a ticket to be part of this event.  We hope to see you there!

Pfeiffer Announces November’s Students of the Month

November Student of the Month 15-16Pfeiffer Intermediate School is proud to announce November’s Students of the Month. Student selections are by community teachers under the following criteria:

  • Students must demonstrate the Big 3 (Respectful/Responsible/Safe)
  • Students must show character
  • Students must demonstrate a good attitude on a daily basis
  • Students must give consistent effort

Pfeiffer Book Fair Information

Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits. The Book Fair will run during school hours from December 7th-11th. Family Night is scheduled for Tuesday, December 8th from 6 PM – 8 PM. Shop anytime online from December 2nd – 15th. Thank you in advance for supporting Pfeiffer’s Book Fair.

 

 

Community Pep Rally – Thursday, December 3rd @ 6 PM

IMG_2218On the eve of playing in their first ever state finals for football, the Perry community is ramping up the excitement with a community-wide pep rally to be held Thursday, December 3rd at 6 PM.  The rally will take place in the main gym at Perry High School.  Join us as we wish good luck to our football team as they travel down to Columbus to play in the D2 State Championship game against Cincinnati LaSalle Friday night. Doors will open at 5 PM and the pep rally will start at 6 PM.  The football stadium will be open with the lights on beforehand to take pictures or toss a football around.  Once inside, there will be face painting, the band and cheerleaders will be present, game tickets and shirts will be available for purchase, and 2,000 free rally towels will be given away.   WHBC radio personality Kenny Roda will be the pep rally host.  Players and coaches will be available for pictures and autographs after the pep rally.
