Pfeiffer Announces 3rd Grading Period Honor & Merit Rolls

honor_rollPfeiffer students qualifying for the third quarter honor roll and merit roll have been announced. To be listed on the honor roll a student must have a 3.5 – 4.00 grade-point average. To be listed on the merit roll a student mush have a 3.00 – 3.49 grade-point average. Congratulations to all students who earned this academic recognition.  (more…)

Middle School Girls Basketball Spring/Summer Schedule

bkbThe information below pertains to current 6th and 7th grade girls. 

  • Spring open gyms will be Mondays and Wednesdays @ Pfieffer from 3-4:30 pm  (starting April 13th)

  • Summer open gyms will be Tuesdays (league) and Thursdays @ Edison from 6-7:30 pm

  • We will participate in an open gym league on Tuesday nights that will be at other schools

  • Summer basketball camp will be June 8, 9, 10 @ Perry High School – time TBD

  • NO basketball events currently scheduled for July and August

  • All players need to shoot/dribble on their own to improve their individual game! If you want to improve as a player, you have to put some time in. Use the drills we do in practice.

Autism Awareness Day – Wednesday, April 22nd

Autism Awareness TShirt BLUEThe District Autism Team invites you to celebrate Autism Awareness Month with us by wearing blue on Wednesday,  April 22nd.  We have designed a shirt that draws attention and is sure to ignite conversation and therefore awareness!  The t-shirts are royal blue with white print just like the image you see.  Shirts are $10 and come in sizes YS-AXXXL. Proceeds will support Team initiatives which target the educational needs and general well-being of students with disabilities.  (more…)

Empathy to be Focus for Pfeiffer Students

Friday, March 20th  will be Pfeiffer’s next anti-bullying class meeting day. The students will be learning about empathy.  Our goal is to help students realize that being aware of and sharing another person’s feelings, experiences, and emotions can really help someone who is being bullied.  Learning how to show empathy is the first step in being an upstander.  Please discuss with your son/daughter ways that they can be empathetic towards students who are in need.  Ask them how displaying empathy can help them to be an upstander at Pfeiffer and in their community.  (more…)
