Accuplacer Deadline Extended for CCP Courses

The deadline to register for the Accuplacer has been moved to January 21st to accommodate students who have not received their Stark State ID number.  Students must have your Stark State ID number in order to register for the Accuplacer. The Accuplacer Test will be given at Perry High School to students in grades 6-8 on the following dates in the high school library: January 21st at 9:00 AM – 1:00 PMJanuary 23rd, 25th, and 26th at 3:15 PM and January 29th from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM.

Pfeiffer Winter Carnival – Friday, January 27th

wintercarnivalPfeiffer’s Winter Carnival will take place on Friday, January 27th from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. A $5 admission fee includes food, drink entertainment and much more! Tickets will be on sale during lunch periods Tuesday, January 24th through Thursday, January 26th.  (more…)

Perry Cheer Clinic (K-6) – Saturday, February 4th

cheerThe Perry High School Cheerleaders will be holding a winter cheerleading clinic for Perry’s K-6 students on Saturday, February 4th from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Pfeiffer Intermediate School. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of cheering, stretching, and complete a craft. Cheerleaders will also learn one dance routine, five chants, and one cheer to use at the February 17th basketball game versus Youngstown Ursuline. Accuplacer Test Schedule & Information for Prospective CCP Students

Edison students and Pfeiffer sixth grade students planning to participate in the College Credit Plus program next year, have applied to Stark State and  are planning to take the Accuplacer test please note the schedule below. Questions can be directed to your building’s counselor.

CCP Meeting for Tonight (1/10) on as Scheduled

The College Credit Plus (CCP) Information Meeting and the College Fair will be held tonight at Perry High School.   Eight colleges will be represented and will be available to speak to from 5:00-8:00 in the PHS cafeteria.  The CCP informational meeting will be held in PHS AV200 and will start at 6:00 PM.  All updated CCP information and forms will be shared at the meeting.

School Closed on Tuesday, January 10, 2017

school closedPerry Local Schools will be closed, Tuesday, January 10, 2017, due to inclement weather.  Parents/Guardians and students involved in PHS extracurricular activities should check district websites and media outlets for the status of extracurricular events on days when schools are closed.  All extracurricular activities (practices, games, and after school activities) for Perry’s elementary buildings, Pfeiffer Intermediate School, and Edison Middle School are canceled for the day when Perry Local Schools are closed. Y­Care is closed when Perry Local Schools close for the day. Childcare through the YMCA is offered at the Massillon YMCA, Meyers Lake YMCA, and the Navarre Towpath YMCA when schools are closed.

Perry Baseball Youth Clinic – February 19 & 26

Main Logo PThe Perry baseball staff and players will hold a youth clinic for players on Sunday, February 19th, and Sunday, February 26th. Participants will receive quality baseball instruction and a Perry Youth Clinic t-shirt. Preregistration is mandatory for the clinic. Registration fees are due by Friday, February 10th. The Board of Education recently updated its Dress Code Policy and Student Dress Code Guidelines.  These changes are reflected in the attached two documents and will take effect January 17, 2017.  Input was given by the board of education, administration, staff, and students.  If you have any questions, please address them to the appropriate building administration.
