Edison Girl Scout Troop Hosting Flag Retirement Ceremony

DSCF4925Girl Scout Troop 61039 will hold a flag retirement ceremony on Friday, May 6th from 6p – 8p. The ceremony will take place at Eden Church of the Brethren located at 4437 Richville Dr, Canton. Those who wish to attend are welcome to bring lawn chairs to sit around the fire.  We have prepared over 300 flags for retirement as our Silver Award. The Silver Award is the highest honor Cadette Girl Scouts can earn.

 

3rd Grading Period Honor Roll & Merit Roll

honor_rollPfeiffer Intermediate is proud to announce students qualifying for the third-quarter honor roll and merit roll. To be listed on the honor roll, a student must have a 3.5 – 4.00 grade-point average. To be listed on the merit roll, a student must have a 3.00 – 3.49 grade-point average. Congratulations to all students who earned this academic recognition.

Pfeiffer Announces March Students of the Month

March Student of the Month 2015-16Pfeiffer Intermediate School is proud to announce the March Students of the Month. Student selections are by community teachers under the following criteria:

  • Students must demonstrate the Big 3 (Respectful/Responsible/Safe)
  • Students must show character
  • Students must demonstrate a good attitude on a daily basis
  • Students must give consistent effort

Donuts with Dad – Friday, April 1st (Grade 6 Only)

donutP.A.T.S would like to invite you to join your child for our Donuts for Dads event on Friday, April 1st  from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. This is a special time when the children can share a treat with their Dad or another special man in their life. Due to limited space, this event is just for Pfeiffer students and one guest. We cannot accommodate other family members. Please meet your child in the cafeteria BEFORE entering the gym.

Pfeiffer Book Fair March 28th – April 1st

We are excited to announce that our “Reading Takes You Places” Usborne Book Fair will take place March 28th to April 1st at Pfeiffer Intermediate School.  We are eager to share these educational books with you. Perry Schedules Hat Day for Friday, March 18th

hatdayFriday, March 18th all of Perry Local Schools will be participating in Perry’s Hat Day for just $1.00. Students and staff can wear a baseball hat, a chef hat, a cowboy hat, or any kind of crazy hat! All the money raised will be split between Perry Athletic Hall of Fame and Perry Helping Perry. The school that raises the most money will get to choose what non-profit organization the money will go to the following year, along with bragging rights!

2015-2016 Pfeiffer Yearbook Orders

yearbookOrders are now being taken for the 2015 – 2016 Pfeiffer Yearbook.  The cost for yearbooks is $15 cash or check. Checks can be made payable to Pfeiffer Intermediate School. The deadline to submit yearbook order forms is Wednesday, March 16th. Yearbooks can also be ordered online for $16 ($15 + $1 processing fee) by visiting this link.  The deadline to order yearbooks online is Friday, March 18th.

Morning with Mom – Friday, March 18th (Grade 6 Only)

downloadP.A.T.S. would like to invite you to join your child for our Morning with Mom (Grade 6 only) event on Friday, March, 18th, from 8:00 to 8:30 am.  This is a special time when the children can share a treat with their Mom or other special woman in their life.

Please return the permission slip no later than Monday, March, 14th otherwise your student will not be released from their class.  Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept any forms after the date listed above because we have to pre-order the donuts.  Due to limited space, this event is just for Pfeiffer students and one guest.  We cannot accommodate other family members.  Please meet your child in the cafeteria BEFORE entering the gym.  Morning with Mom permission slip.

Lost Seoul Author Visits Pfeiffer Students

lostseoulOn March 4, 2016, The 5th-grade honors classes had the opportunity to meet Mr. Jin Stearns, author of the book Lost Seoul. The students, who had recently read his book, got the chance to discuss it with Mr. Stearns.The students were able to ask questions about his life in Korea and his life now. Mr. Stearns also talked about the writing of the book and how it is now being made into a movie.  Sharing his story with both students and parents was a wonderful experience for everyone.
