Pfeiffer Announces September’s Students of the Month

September Student of the Month 15-16Pfeiffer Intermediate School is proud to announce September’s Students of the Month. Students were selected by their community teachers under the following criteria:

  • Students must demonstrate the Big 3 (Respectful/Responsible/Safe)
  • Students must show character
  • Students must demonstrate a good attitude on a daily basis
  • Students must give consistent effort

PHS Athletic Leadership Council Selling Spirit Shirts

perryspiritshirtPerry High School Athletic Leadership Council is selling Perry Spirit Shirts for the upcoming football game on Friday, October 30th against Glenoak. The cost of the shirt is $10. Each purchased shirt also includes free admittance to the game versus Glenoak on the 30th.  Shirts will be on sale during lunch hours at each building and are also available at the Perry Athletic Department ticket office. Save your Perry Spirit Shirt and wear it to a select boys and girls basketball game to get in free! Click here for an order form and more information. 

Pasta Dinner and Community Resource Fair

IMG_6253Pfeiffer parents and students were treated to a free pasta dinner on Thursday,October 15 in conjunction with a community resource fair.  The dinner was  prepared by Pfeiffer’s kitchen staff and served by the office staff.

Parents were also able to check out many resources provided by community agencies.  A special thank you to the students from Perry Service League and Student Council, as well as the Pfeiffer custodians for their help in setting up and cleaning up!
Donations for our the pasta dinner were provided by  Pfeiffer staff, BND (Bent- N-Dent) on Navarre Road, Mid’s Homestyle Pasta Sauce, and Norcia’s Bakery.

 

Pfeiffer Walk-A-Thon a Success!

IMG_6297Pfeiffer Intermediate School  held a walk-a-thon fundraiser on Friday, October 16th. Pfeiffer students raised nearly $13,000! The money raised will help the parent support group, P.A.T.S., provide activities and resources for Pfeiffer’s students and staff. Thank you to all staff and students who participated and helped raise money!

Perry D.A.R.E. Skate Party: Friday, October 23rd

DARE4Join your Perry friends and classmates for a D.A.R.E. sponsored skate party on Friday, October 23rd at the North Canton Skate Center from 10 AM – 2 PM.  The cost to participate  is $6 which includes skate/roller blade rental. Speed skates are $1.50 extra. Additional activities are laser tag, rock-wall, bumper cars, euro bungee, and 30 new video games. *Pricing for unlimited additional activities is $12 for a two hour pass, $15 for a three hour pass and $20 for a four hour pass. Perry Local Schools Celebrate National School Lunch Week October 12 – 16

To recognize the National School Lunch Program and the 30 million children it serves every day Perry Local Schools will recognize National School Lunch Week from October 12-16, 2015. The theme, “School Lunch Snapshot” is all about sharing the best images of today’s school lunches.

National School Lunch Week will emphasize the healthy foods that are offered daily at our schools.  School lunches have changed considerably and are healthier than ever, with more fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and less fat and sodium. (more…)

Pfeiffer’s Walk-A-Thon Friday, October 16th 2015

Pfeiffer will be having a Walk-A-Thon during the school day on Friday, October 16th.  Students have received donation envelopes and detailed information. Our goal is to raise $20,000 for our school. If every student in the school raises at least $50.00, we can meet our goal! The funds raised will be spent to benefit our students by helping support all of the activities PATS helps with throughout the school year.  (more…)

Free Pasta Dinner & Community Fair – October 15th

Pfeiffer Intermediate School will be hosting a free pasta dinner on Thursday, October 15th in conjunction with a community resource fair. Dinner will be served from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM with the resource fair open from 5 – 8 PM. 

Parents can enjoy a free meal and browse the many resources available for families such as: physical and mental health, community services, educational services, food and clothing assistance, and safety information for home, school and online.

Girl Scouts Respectfully and Properly Retiring American Flags

Do you have an American Flag that needs properly retired?

Bring your tired, bring your torn… American Flags to Edison Middle School. Girl Scout Troop 61039 will take those flags in order to respectfully and properly retire them for you.  The Troop will be retiring as many flags as they can so they can earn their Silver Award.  The Silver Award is the second highest award in Girl Scouts. The troop has a box in the office at Edison Middle School.  If you have access to a large quantity, please contact Tricia Scott, leader at 330.479.8739 to arrange pickup. Thank you for supporting the girls in this endeavor
