Elementary Wrestling Clinic Grades 1-6: October 20 – 22

AR-140309930The Perry High School wrestling staff and the nationally ranked PHS wrestling team will be hosting an elementary wrestling clinic for beginning wrestlers in grades 1 – 6. The clinic will take place October 20th – October 22nd from 6 – 7 PM in the main gym at Perry High School. Cost for the clinic is $25 which includes awards, tournament entry to be held at the conclusion of the clinic, and a Perry wrestling t-shirt.  Questions can be directed to Danny Genetin through email at: Danny.Genetin@perrylocal.org

Parent Workshop on Social Media Abuse – October 22nd @ 6:30 PM

Addictive behaviors are rapidly increasing amongst  adolescents with social media use and misuse. Mental health professionals will address these  behaviors and provide strategies to aid parents.

As a community service Perry Local Schools and Northeast Behavioral Health are hosting a parent workshop on social media abuse. The workshop will be held on Thursday, October 22nd from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM in Edison’s LRC.  Click here for an event flyer.

 

Australian Author James Phelan to Visit Pfeiffer October 2nd

phelanAustralian author James Phelan will be visiting Pfeiffer Intermediate school on Friday, October 2nd at 2:00 PM. Mr. Phelan will be speaking to students and guests. More information about the author can be found by visiting James Phelan’s Twitter account.

Ice Cream Secrets to Open Perry Players’ 55th Season

icecreamThe Perry Players will open their 55th Annual Theatre Season with the presentation of their Annual Children’s Theatre Production.   Perry Theatre Director, Louie Mattachione has announced that the production this year will be the enchanting story of ICE CREAM SECRETS.

A total of 9 students have been cast in the production while another 20 students will be working on the technical crews for the show.  In addition, 12 students will make up the Perry Theatre Clown Troupe who will meet and greet audience members as they arrive for the production.

Mornings with Mom – October 10th (Grade 5 Only)

downloadP.A.T.S. would like to invite you to join your child for our Mornings with Mom (Grade 5 only) event on Friday, October, 9th, from 8:00 to 8:30 am.  This is a special time when the children are able to share a treat with their Mom or other special woman in their life.

Please return the permission slip no later than Monday, October 5th otherwise your student will not be released from their class.  Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept any forms after the date listed above because we have to pre-order the donuts.  Due to limited space, this event is just for Pfeiffer students and one guest.  We cannot accommodate other family members.  Please meet your child in the cafeteria BEFORE entering the gym.  Mornings with Mom permission slip.

A friendly reminder to parents/guardians that Pfeiffer is operating on a new schedule for the 2015-2016 school year. The warning bell rings at 7:48 AM and the tardy bell chimes at 7:50 AM.

Perry Girls Youth Basketball Fall League

panthersThe Perry Youth Girls Basketball Fall League will take place in the main gymnasium at Perry High School for girls in grades 3rd thru 6th. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of offense and defense at a two week skills camp prior to practicing and competing in scheduled games. Perry Cheer Clinic (K-6) – Saturday, September 26th

cheerThe Perry High School Cheerleaders will be holding a fall cheerleading clinic for Perry K-6 students on Saturday, September 26th from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Pfeiffer Intermediate School. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of cheering, stretching, and complete a craft. Cheerleaders will also learn one dance routine, five chants, and one cheer to use at the October 2nd football game versus Green.
