Pfeiffer Intermediate School will be holding a Book Fair Monday, December 4th through Tuesday, December 12th. The Book Fair will be open to shopping for students during the week. Join us for Family Night on Thursday, December 7th from 6 PM – 8 PM. Online shopping is open beginning Wednesday, November 29th through Tuesday, December 12th. Pfeiffer Intermediate School staff brainstormed a number of activities that will be taking place over the next few days for the intermediate school students. The focus will be on being kind, positive and supportive toward one another. In addition, one activity will walk students through how to replace negative “Automatic Thoughts,” with positive self-talk. During the three days, the students will engage in the following activities.
Letters will soon be mailed with information regarding the human maturation curriculum in the 5th grade. On Thursday, December 7th students in 5th grade will watch a video as part of the human maturation curriculum. Parents/Guardians can request to preview the video by submitting a form request linked below.

The Perry Township Rotary will sponsor a fun-filled night of action when a talented group of Perry teachers competes against the Harlem Wizards. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Monday, November 13, 2017, at Perry High School. Pre-sale tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults. Tickets at the gate are $10 for students and $12 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at the PHS Athletic Office during school hours. All proceeds from this exciting event benefit the Career and Wellness Center.
There will now be two 6th grade choir concerts on Thursday, December 7th. The performances will be at 6:00 and 7:30. Students will need to arrive at 5:35. We are asking that families with last names beginning with A-L come to the first performance. Families with last names beginning with M-Z please come to the 7:30 performance. We will also have a Friday, December 8th performance at 9 am. Parents should be on the lookout for a note that will be sent home with more concert details. Thank you for your support as we provide enough room for the families of 180 6th grade choir members!
Pfeiffer Intermediate is proud to announce students qualifying for the first-quarter honor roll and merit roll. To be listed on the honor roll, a student must have a 3.5 – 4.00 grade-point average. To be listed on the merit roll, a student must have a 3.00 – 3.49 grade-point average. Congratulations to all students who earned this academic recognition.

This afternoon, Wednesday, November 1st, the Perry Fire Department and Perry Police were called to Pfeiffer Intermediate School for a smoking outlet in the cafeteria. Students and staff were evacuated from the building in a safe and timely manner. Once attendance was taken students and staff moved to the gym at Edison Middle School. After approximately thirty minutes authorities gave an all clear for students and staff to return to the building to resume the school day.
The safety of students and staff is the number one priority of Perry Local Schools. We appreciate the cooperation with the Perry Police, Perry Fire Department, and other local authorities to ensure this safety on a daily basis.
Report cards for the first grading period for grades K-4 will be sent home with students today, Tuesday, October 31st. Students in grades 5-8 will receive report cards on Wednesday, November 1st. Report cards for PHS students are delayed until further notice due to technical challenges with Perry’s student information system.
Home Access Center (HAC) information will be sent home with students by the end of the week. The HAC is a tool for parents that provides a wealth of information that includes but not limited to, grades, student’s schedule, attendance and much more.
