Pfeiffer Announces 4th Grading Period Honor & Merit Roll Students

honor_rollPfeiffer students qualifying for the fourth quarter honor roll and merit roll have been announced. To be listed on the honor roll a student must have a 3.5 – 4.00 grade-point average. To be listed on the merit roll a student must have a 3.00 – 3.49 grade-point average. Congratulations to all students who earned this academic recognition.

Free Breakfast and Lunch for Kids 18 & Under – June 5 through August 4 (M-F)

summer meal programThis year when schools let out, Perry Local Schools Summer Food Program will offer free nutritious meals to ALL children, 18 years and under,  at Genoa Elementary,  519 Genoa Rd SW, Massillon.   No paperwork, no enrollment, no registration is needed. Just come and join us!

Meals will be served June 5th through August 4th Monday through Friday.  Breakfast will be served from  7:00 AM -8:00 AM (M-F). Lunch will be served from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM (M-F).

Perry Junior Tennis Camp – Registration Deadline Extended to Saturday, May 27th

The Perry boys and girls tennis teams will sponsor a junior tennis camp for students entering grades 2-8 in 2017-2018. The tennis camp will be held June 5 – 8 at the Perry High School tennis courts. Camp for grades 2-4 will be from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM. Grades 5-8 will hold camp from 6:45 PM PM – 8:15 PM. The cost of the camp is $40 which includes six hours of instruction, a camp t-shirt, and a can of new tennis balls. Checks can be made payable to the Perry Adult Booster Club.

Registration for the Perry Tennis Camp has been extended to Saturday, May 27th. Questions can be directed to Coach Knoch at kknoch10s4him@aol.com.

Perry Boys Basketball Summer Skills Camp 2017

The Perry boys basketball program will be holding two skills camps June 12 – 15 at Perry High School. Boys entering grade 2-5 will attend Session 1 from 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM. Session 2 will be for boys entering grades 6-8 and will run from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM. The cost of the camp is $60 with checks payable to Perry Boys Basketball Booster Club. Perry Girls Basketball Skills Camp

The Perry Girls basketball program will be holding skills camp June 5th through June 7th at Perry High School for girls entering 3rd through 9th grades in the 2017-2018 school year. The PHS Girls coaching staff and athletes will instruct campers on ball handling, passing, footwork, shooting, defense, post moves and much more. The cost of the camp is $50 per camper and $35 for each additional camper from the same family. Camp times, for grade levels, and registration information can be found on the link below. School Lunch Account Balances

A reminder to parents and students that ALL lunch charges need to be paid in full by the last day of school. If you are unsure whether your student owes on their account, please check with someone from the cafeteria staff. Parents are more than welcome to call Mrs. Roshong in the cafeteria if there are any questions.

PHS Girls Golf Youth Skills Camp

The PHS girls golf team will hold a youth skills camp from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Monday, June 5th through Wednesday, June 7th at the Legends Golf Course. The PHS coaching staff and current players will instruct participants on putting, chipping, swing mechanics, course etiquette and much more. The cost is $30 per camper. Pre-registration is mandatory by Tuesday, May 30th. Questions can be directed to Joe Whitmer at joe.whitmer@perrylocal.org.

6th Grade Farewell Party – Friday, May 5th

Pfeiffer’s 6th Grade Farewell Party will be held on Friday, May 5th, from 5:30-7:30 pm at the North Canton Skate and Entertainment Center.  Tickets are $5 each and will be sold May 2nd, May 4th, and May 5th in the cafeteria during lunch periods.  More information will be sent home the week of the event. Parents of Pfeiffer students who are interested in volunteering can contact Jessica Grove at jessicagrove06@gmail.com.

Pfeiffer to Hold Art Show – Wednesday, May 10th

Image result for art showPfeiffer Intermediate will be having its annual Artome Art Show, Wednesday evening May 10th from 5-7 P.M.  Families are invited to view the artwork which will be framed and on display for sale to the families of the artist for only $22.00.  A portion of the proceeds will go to supporting Pfeiffer’s art program as we celebrate the talents of our visual students on this evening.  Don’t miss it!

Attention All Pfeiffer 5th Graders

Are you interested in joining the band, choir, or even both for your sixth-grade year? If you are we would like to hear from you. Both of these ensembles are available to all students at Pfeiffer. If you think that you would like to join these ensembles as a 6th grader, return the interest form (handed out at the assembly, and attached to this post) and return it to your 5th grade homeroom teacher by Friday, May 5th, 2017.   (more…)
