Congratulations to Danielle Thomas, Hannah Leapline, Jacob Collins, and Kameron Sowards (pictured left to right) who have been chosen as Top D.A.R.E. Students at Pfeiffer Intermediate School for the 1st 9-week grading period. Each student has exceeded all expectations the class has offered. The D.A.R.E. class is instructed by Officer Bill Watson of the Perry Police Department. These students will also be invited to be part of the Perry Police Summer P.R.I.D.E. Program. (more…)

The Perry Gymnastics team wold love for you to joins us on Saturday, November 16th for a fun filled morning of gymnastics. Each child will have time to try all four events (floor, balance beam, uneven bars, and vault) and receive instruction on basic skills from Perry gymnasts. Kent State University at Stark will hold a Super Science Saturday for students in grades 4-7 on November 2nd from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM in the Fine Arts Building on the campus of Kent State University at Stark (map). Cost for this cool event is $10 per student, which includes a t-shirt and a big bag full of neat science stuff! Registration is due by Monday, October 28th. Space is limited to only 100 participants. Pfeiffer Intermediate School will be collecting photographs of family members who have served, or are presently serving, in the armed forces. The photographs will be used to create a video tribute to past and present service men and women. If you would like a photograph included in the video tribute please place a picture in an envelope with your child’s name and homeroom teacher clearly written on the outside. Photos must be submitted no later than Friday, November 1st. We will scan the picture to include in our video and return the picture back to you. The video will be shown school wide during homeroom on Veterans Day. The video tribute will be posted on Pfeiffer’s website later that afternoon.
To ensure the safety of our students and staff, Perry Local Schools will be implementing a new building visitor policy. Effective Monday, October 14th, visitors entering a Perry Local School building must submit a state/federal photo ID to the designated school building employee. Visitors must also sign in and out when entering and exiting a district building. The photo identification will be returned when the visitor signs out to exit the building. Thank you in advance for supporting this security change in order to better protect our students and staff.
