Venue Change for Grade 6 Band Concert – December 18th

holidayconcertAttention all 6th grade band members and families. The Holiday Concert on Wednesday, December 18th, 2013 will be held in the Perry High School gymnasium rather than the Pfeiffer gymnasium. We will be sharing a concert with Perry High School’s jazz band, concert band, and symphonic winds. The concert is free to the public and will be held at 7:00 PM.

Grade 6  band students should arrive at the high school no later than 6:15 PM and should come in through the main entrance to Perry High School.

Please join us for a fun evening of music as we showcase our 6th grade beginners as well as our high school groups.

Honors Placement Information for 2014-2015

multiple choiceTesting for placement in honors level courses will take place the week of December 9, 2013.  Recommendations for next year’s course placements will be indicated on your child’s 2nd 9 weeks report card.  If you have any questions or concerns about the testing and selection process please do not hesitate to call the school office or contact your child’s teacher.  The letters below were sent with students.

Pfeiffer Announces November Lunch Bucket Award Winners

These students “Go to Work” each day with great “Attitude and Effort”.  Each student was presented with a Certificate, mini “lunchbucket” and had their name read over the P.A. to recognize this achievement.  Great Job!

Pfeiffer Book Fair Set to Begin December 16th

79053_come_to_fair_artPfeiffer’s Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon which will transform Pfeiffer’s library into a book store with a variety of selection for all! Books from new authors, favorite authors, popular series, cool posters, and unique school supplies are just some of the items that can be purchased at the book fair. The Book Fair will be open December 16th through December 20th.

 

Pfeiffer Art Club Gives Back to Community

art club wreathsPfeiffer Intermediate Art Club provided some seasonal joy to residents of Hanover House in Massillon.  Art club members created 55 small wreaths and decorated them with garland, bulbs, ribbons and bows.  The students discussed the importance of giving to others and spreading artwork throughout the community.  The residents were very excited to receive the beautiful holiday decorations.

P.A.T.S. December Meeting Cancelled

The P.A.T.S. meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 3rd at 7:00 PM has been cancelled. P.A.T.S. will meet again on Tuesday, January 7th at 7:00 PM in Pfeiffer’s cafeteria.

Pfeiffer Choir to Perform at Canton Charge Game

canton chargeThe Pfeiffer Choir is singing at the Canton Charge basketball game on Friday,  December 13th.  You are invited to join us for a fun night as we perform the National Anthem and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” for a stadium full of Charge fans.  The order form (see link below) can be used for discounted tickets ($10.50) if ordered by Monday, December 9th and ensures that Perry fans are seated in the same section. Pfeiffer Choir Holiday Concert Information

holidayconcertThe Pfeiffer Choir will put on a holiday concert beginning at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10th in Pfeiffer’s gymnasium. Students should arrive by 6:30 PM and report to their designated room. The dress code for the concert for all students is a nice white shirt, black tie/scarf (these will be distributed soon), black slacks, and black dress shoes.

Choir students are reminded that a mandatory rehearsal will take place immediately after school on Monday, December 9th. Parents/Guardians should plan on picking up their student at 4:30 PM.  Attendance is required for rehearsal and the concert.
