Testing for placement in honors level courses will take place the week of December 9, 2013. Recommendations for next year’s course placements will be indicated on your child’s 2nd 9 weeks report card. If you have any questions or concerns about the testing and selection process please do not hesitate to call the school office or contact your child’s teacher. Pfeiffer’s Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon which will transform Pfeiffer’s library into a book store with a variety of selection for all! Books from new authors, favorite authors, popular series, cool posters, and unique school supplies are just some of the items that can be purchased at the book fair. The Book Fair will be open December 16th through December 20th.
Pfeiffer Intermediate Art Club provided some seasonal joy to residents of Hanover House in Massillon. Art club members created 55 small wreaths and decorated them with garland, bulbs, ribbons and bows. The students discussed the importance of giving to others and spreading artwork throughout the community. The residents were very excited to receive the beautiful holiday decorations.
The P.A.T.S. meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 3rd at 7:00 PM has been cancelled. P.A.T.S. will meet again on Tuesday, January 7th at 7:00 PM in Pfeiffer’s cafeteria.
The Pfeiffer Choir is singing at the Canton Charge basketball game on Friday, December 13th. You are invited to join us for a fun night as we perform the National Anthem and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” for a stadium full of Charge fans. The order form (see link below) can be used for discounted tickets ($10.50) if ordered by Monday, December 9th and ensures that Perry fans are seated in the same section. The Pfeiffer Choir will put on a holiday concert beginning at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10th in Pfeiffer’s gymnasium. Students should arrive by 6:30 PM and report to their designated room. The dress code for the concert for all students is a nice white shirt, black tie/scarf (these will be distributed soon), black slacks, and black dress shoes.
Choir students are reminded that a mandatory rehearsal will take place immediately after school on Monday, December 9th. Parents/Guardians should plan on picking up their student at 4:30 PM. Attendance is required for rehearsal and the concert.

A video tribute for Veterans Day was played in classrooms this morning at Pfeiffer Intermediate School. Pictures in the video are family members, relatives, and friends of Pfeiffer staff and students who are currently serving, or have served our country.
