Service Arrangements for Marlene Capuano

Black TransparentPerry Local Schools wish to express condolences to the Capuano family on the recent passing of Marlene.  Marlene was a 1961 Perry grad, district transportation supervisor, board member and major supporter of the Perry schools family.  Calling hours will be held Friday, April 24th at Rossi Funeral Home from 10:30 AM till 12:30 PM.  A Funeral Mass & Eulogy Celebration will be at 1:30 PM at St. Joan of Arc Church followed by a procession to Calvary Cemetery.  Marlene’s obituary can be read here.

KSU Stark Hosting Transition Planning Information For Prospective College Students

district9Kent State Stark, in collaboration with Walsh and Malone Universities, are hosting a Transition Planning Information session for students with IEPs or 504 Plans.  The event is FREE and open to anyone considering college, not just the three schools hosting the event.  The meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 29th at 6:00 PM in the library conference room at Kent State Stark (map). No School February 19th and 20th

school closedPerry Local Schools will be closed Thursday, February 19th and Friday, February 20th, due to extreme cold temperatures.  Parents/Guardians and students involved in PHS extracurricular activities should check district websites and media outlets for the status of extracurricular events on days when schools are closed.  All extracurricular activities (practices, games, and after school activities) for Perry’s elementary buildings, Pfeiffer Intermediate School, and Edison Middle School are cancelled for the day when Perry Local Schools are closed. Y­Care is closed when Perry Local Schools close for the day. Childcare through the YMCA is offered at the Massillon YMCA, Meyers Lake YMCA, and the Navarre Towpath YMCA when schools are closed.
