Accuplacer information, test registration, review and practice

 Registration link for the January 2018 Accuplacer Testing

Students who are not currently in a CCP course or who have not previously completed a CCP course must now have a college readiness score to participate in the College Credit Plus program.  Once the student has a college readiness score, the student may apply to a college or university CCP program.  The student must meet all the college/university requirements for admission and any prerequisite requirements for college courses the student may wish to enroll.

Students must have ONE college readiness score to participate in College Credit Plus the scores are listed below.

ACT English 18

ACT Reading 22

ACT Math 22

Accuplacer Reading 80

Accuplacer Writing  5

Accuplacer Elementary Algebra  108

Please click on the link below to register for the January 23rd or January 25th Accuplacer Test.  Students may take all three tests, or one or two.  Students may sign up for both days.  Each test takes approximately one hour to complete.  Registration for the January Accuplacer will close on January 17th.

Students must report to the PHS cafeteria by 2:30 PM on the day of testing and bring their fully charged laptop and pencil/scratch paper.  The Accuplacer is a free tests.  Students receive the results immediately upon completing the test.  Students may take all three tests, two or one test.  Students may sign up for one test date or both test dates.

December 13th and 14th,  2017 ACCUPLACER Testing after school in the PHS cafeteria.

Students are to report to the high school cafeteria with their personal laptop by 2:30 on the day of testing.

Students wishing to take CCP classes at Perry High school during the 2018-2019 school year and have not taken the ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer test and earned at least one college bench mark score are encouraged to take the one of the tests  in December or January.   The Accuplacer test will be administered December 13th and 14th.  There are three Accuplacer tests; Elementary Algebra, English Writing, and Reading.  Students are permitted to take each test two times per calendar year. Registration for the January testing will occur in December .

Students may sign up for both days.  Each test takes approximately one hour to complete.  This is not a timed test, so students may take as much time as they need.  There will also be testing January 23rd and 25th (registration in December).  Students who need to take the Accuplacer test, but do not take it in December or January will be required to go to the Stark State College campus and take the test in the testing center.  Students must pre-register to take the test.

Registration link for the November 8th and 9th  (2017) ACCUPLACER Testing

Students are to report to the high school cafeteria no later than 2:30 on the day of testing.  Students are to bring their fully charged laptop.  No laptops will be available for student use.

ATTENTION: FEBRUARY 15TH DATE ADDED FOR ACCUPLACER TESTING

One additional date has been added to accommodate the individuals who had to wait for their Stark State Student ID number.  The test will be offered on Wednesday, February 15th after school in the PHS Library.  Students in grades 6-11 may take the test.  Please arrive immediately to the library after your school day ends.  The registration will close on February 14th at 7:00 AM.

Students planning on taking CCP courses at Perry High School through Stark State must meet either COMPASS or the Accuplacer writing, reading, Algebra I scores or ACT Math, English scores.  Please refer to the Course Bulletin for specific score requirements. Students who took the Compass score on or before October 2016, Stark State will accept your scores for two years after the testing date.

Students planning on taking  CCP French at Perry High School through Kent State Stark, must meet the ACT or SAT English requirement and the Foreign Language Placement test requirement.  The FLPT will be administered at Perry High School in January.  Students may also call the Kent State Stark testing center to make arrangements to take the test on campus.

The Accuplacer test is administered after school in the library in January at Perry High School.  Refer to this webpage, the Guidance main webpage for specific dates.  The dates will also be announced on the morning announcements.

Testing will usually occur in October and January.   Students needing to take the test may call the Stark State College testing center to make an appointment to take the test on Campus or take the test at PHS in January.

Students must preregister for the test.  Students taking the math test are encouraged to bring a calculator and scratch paper.  Students must have a Stark State ID to register for the test.  Links can be found by clicking on ‘College Credit Plus’ found in the drop down menu under the ‘Academics’ heading.

The Accuplacer will be administered at PHS in the school library in January 2017.

Students must register by January 21, 2017.  Students must have a Stark State ID prior to registering.

The test will be offered to students in grades 9-11 on January 17,18,19 .  Testing starts at 2:30. (Registration closed on 1-16-2017

The test will be offered to students in grades 6-8 on January 23,25,26.  Testing starts at 3:15

The test will also be offered to all students in grades 6-11 on Saturday (registration closed on 1-16-2017), January 21  from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM and Sunday, January 29 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
