The State Support Team Region 9 will be holding a conference for families and educators of diverse learners on Saturday, April 8th from 7:45 AM – 1:00 PM at the R.G. Drage Career Technical Center. The Perry High School Cheerleaders will be holding a winter cheerleading clinic for Perry’s K-6 students on Saturday, February 4th from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Pfeiffer Intermediate School. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of cheering, stretching, and complete a craft. Cheerleaders will also learn one dance routine, five chants, and one cheer to use at the February 17th basketball game versus Youngstown Ursuline. Perry Local Schools will be closed, Tuesday, January 10, 2017, due to inclement weather. Parents/Guardians and students involved in PHS extracurricular activities should check district websites and media outlets for the status of extracurricular events on days when schools are closed. All extracurricular activities (practices, games, and after school activities) for Perry’s elementary buildings, Pfeiffer Intermediate School, and Edison Middle School are canceled for the day when Perry Local Schools are closed. YCare is closed when Perry Local Schools close for the day. Childcare through the YMCA is offered at the Massillon YMCA, Meyers Lake YMCA, and the Navarre Towpath YMCA when schools are closed.
The Perry baseball staff and players will hold a youth clinic for players on Sunday, February 19th, and Sunday, February 26th. Participants will receive quality baseball instruction and a Perry Youth Clinic t-shirt. Preregistration is mandatory for the clinic. Registration fees are due by Friday, February 10th.
