The Geisen Haus in North Canton (directions) is offering half off appetizers to anyone making a donation of any amount to Mrs. Budd and her family. The fundraiser will take place on Thursday, July 24th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Cash or check donations will be accepted.
Sharon Budd, pictured in the center of the front row, is a very special person in so many people’s lives. She has the ability to befriend anyone and always does. Her smile, contageous laughter, and hilarious stories and jokes are enough to bring sunshine to anyone’s day.
Sharon, her husband Randy, and her daughter Kaylee were driving to New York City on Thursday, July 10th when an unimaginable act of violence and stupidity was committed. Sharon was hit by a boulder thrown from an overpass while Kaylee was at the wheel. The boulder struck her in the face, causing severe damage. It is a miracle that Kaylee was able to get the car stopped safely. Kaylee has been so strong…as have Randy, Luke, James, and Joey. It’s the kind of strength they learned from Sharon when she fought and BEAT breast cancer 15 years ago. They are supporting Sharon now as she fights for her life at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Sharon remains in critical condition after having emergency brain surgery to allow her brain to swell.
Now, let’s come together in love and support for the incredible Sharon Budd and her family. Sharon is and has always been a fighter. She has a long road to recovery ahead of her and if we can make that road just a bit more manageable for her and her family, let’s do it! Click here to show your support to Sharon and her family.
Market Day orders can still be made online at www.marketday.com up until 11:00 PM tonight, Wednesday, May 7th. Payment can be made with credit card or you can pay at pick up. Market Day is a great way to stock up for summer. Orders can be picked up on Monday, May 12th between 5:30 – 6:30 PM at Watson.
This morning, Tuesday, May 6th, Watson Elementary was put in external lock down. External lock downs are used when incidents occur outside the building. These are used as a precaution and during these times we do not allow anyone to enter or leave the building. Please note that there was not an incident at the school itself, again the external lock down was initiated as a result of an incident taking place several blocks away.
A short time ago the external lock down was lifted and we are now operating as usual.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call the school. Thank you and have a great day!
